I did thank you very much but it is still to expensive for me or for what it is when you think I got the lego creator house for £22.45 and the police truck for £15 odd then to pay over £23 for a lego calender does not seem all that good value for money:D

I'm not sure they base their prices on bestsellers/ popularity or why amazon keep increasing their prices but they do and often throughout the day and week, whenever I go back onto amazon the prices have changed sometimes pennies worth and sometimes pounds but this day they have been upping the lego all day, I am fortunate or sad enough whichever one:rotfl::rotfl:to know the lego prices and would never just click to buy without comparing prices etc:D

Their prices amaze me how they go up and down,

I bought the lego police station a few months ago for about £44,

Immediately after I bought it, I came in here to post about it, checked the price again before I posted and it had gone back to £60!

The thing is it is continuos, I don't know whether to sit here all day clicking the refresh to bag a amazon bargain or get a life:rotfl::rotfl:

When the amazon sale last friday I was actually petrified by the time I clicked to buy it would have all changed and be just an amazon gimmick to get you in but no I have the house and the police truck all safe wrapped up and can't wait for xmas:D

I tried waiting for the advent calendars to go down, I only paid £14 last year from argos but gave in and paid £24 off of amazon a couple of weeks ago.

This is how i convinced myself its probably not so bad a deal if they don't go down any lower, 24 days ds gets to open a mini figure, thats £1 a figure, the current mini figure packs currently sell for more than this, some of the advent ones are limited edition collectors figures only available in the calendar.

I got the fab deals on fire rescue and the police truck so I'm going to try and forget about the calendar price and think how happy ds will be when he opens it every day :)
  • lol:D

I decided I had to buy the police station at that price incase I couldn't get the fire station at a good price, but I doubled up my tesco vouchers last time and got the fire station for £9.97.
So I now need to hope my son asks for the police station next year.:rotfl:
  • I got this for my son today - seemed like a good buy at the time?

We don't have a Lego box at the minute, so this seemed like a good investment. Hope it helps someone.

  • Unfortunately lego tends to hold its price really well. The amazon sale was a splendid offer and congrats to all those who got stuff they wanted. As an adult collector of lego the sets really go up in price after they are discontinued. I bought a cafe corner for £90 from lego.com and now they are selling for £275 + on ebay.nice tho!51Iua7jxM9L__SL500_AA280_.jpg

I know what you mean, I am trying very hard to see the £1 a day and limited edition but so far my fingers just refuse to click the buy button, I am saying to myself I still have time to wait, showed the youngest the £64.99 one and he just said it is so old mum it is from 2007:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The page says page not found, I keep the lego in a clear plastic box, a deep one that you can pick up from wilkinsons or morrisons and the one my son favours the most is a 5 draw plastic clear see through one that he has his little pieces in and he knows straight away where they are
