DS got the transporter for his birthday earlier this year. It is a brilliant set, he loves it.

I'm sure it was a lot dearer than £51 at the time too, so this seems a good price!

I've had my eye on this for a while! Have just reserved it, plus two little lego sets (small car) at £3.99 each (so £1.50ea after using voucher) and I get a free activity book 'cause I've bought two City sets. So it's a cheap(ish!) big set and two almost free small ones and a bonus book.
My son will explode when he sees it, though I have to hide it for a couple of years as he's only three :rotfl:

Hope you enjoy it as much as we have done.

We got the offroad power by ordering it into store just before the last voucher promotion.

Plenty of time to reserve this time as the vouchers don't finish until the 16th.

Had a few lego atlantis bits in my wish list but they have gone back up now so will not be buying today, strange would have thought they would have gone down with TRU having the 342 deal on the lego:eek:

I've been monitoring the lego city pricing for the last few weeks and it has definitely gone up as you have said.

I was hoping to get the Lego City Police Truck cheaper; however at the weekend we bought it in Argos. It was £36.99, but we got the £5 voucher for spending over £50 (we bought something else too). This price brought it down to be the same as Amazon. I am still keeping an eye out because if I can get it cheaper elsewhere I will be able to return it to Argos.

Completley random and off-topic but...

I just wondered if anyone else could identify what was in today's advent calendar. The 2010 Lego City Day 5 - looks a bit like a leaf-blower (???)

Any ideas so I can explain it to my little ones?

Day 4??

My ds wasn't even interested in putting it together...he's 10 and I know its because he had no idea what it was. I have googled it to see it together and myself and hubby have come to the conclusion, its a jcb crane and in another window there is a little jcb scoop thing to go with it.
