Sounds like the diet is going well, impressive weight loss! I am soon to start the anti-candida diet _pale_, which involves giving up all the good stuff in life and surviving on dust. Or similar. Any super healthy but tasty recipes, please share!

Poor museumworker! Dust!!! Thats not nice - hope Lula can help with some tasty recipes
Lots of tail swishing going on there, Lulahow amazing that even at your weight you've managed to lose 6lbs, that kind of weight loss usually belongs to a much bigger person.

The best way I reckon
Right, back to previous posts;
Dragon - lovely to see you here & thanks for your kind words :A
makeup - thanks for the info on kindle & i-pad light, I absolutely agree that they would be fab for when travelling - would be even better if they run on solar batteries. I can see that they could be a valuable resource for students is there is the ability to mark or make notes on the text.
museumworker - dust is pretty untastyreminds me of the little britain sketch :rotfl: not sure what the anti-candida diet consists of but I hope that it does help to sort our your terrible migraines.
Karma - thanks for the encouragement, that volume of weight loss is usually only during the first 5-7 days & it should then slow down to a healthy 2lbs a week. I like that it gave me that initial kick start which has motivated me to continue until I achieve my goal. I do miss my fruit though but as it contains, sugar I can see why it is limited.
I dont think think I will remain on this regime for life but hopefully, I will have learned that food I consume has consequences.
Enough of that.
Today is really cold here, we went to the library this morning to buy the Club ticket for DD tonight - only £4 this time. Saw one of her friends in there & offered to do the lift home tonight 7 the other Mum will be taking them there
. It does irritate me when parents dont get together to do lift shares, what a waste of time & resources.
While in there I bought a birthday card for £1.35 & picked up loads of leaflets about stuff going on locally. We then went to the post office to buy a stamp - 88p & DD bought herself a sausage roll from the bakery while I just . We walked home the long way & it was so chilly we almost marched so that's a good bit of exercise done today.
I've hung the towels out on the line & did a brief inspection of the garden; lots of bulbs coming through, Connie & Victoria look well & happy. Still no action on the digging of veg patch& a biting wind drove us back indoors again.
Trying to summon up enthusiasm for another big clear out but can see me waiting until easter hols. I did however, receive a letter from the local charity shop that I donate all our stuff to & was quite pleased to read that by selling our things, they have received £35.80p including gift aid. It makes me feel even less inclined to ebay which really seems like such a faff & not how I want to spend my free time
I've just made some diet-friendly chocolate muffin type things & although not a good as a real one, they are ok. Plans for the rest of the day involve mooching, lounging, pottering & anything else that requires little effort.0 -
Sounds like you have a great day planned.
Well done on the weight loss...that's brilliant. The diet really seems to be working for you.0 -
Morning all,
I had a bit of a diet wobble yesterday; decided the chocolate muffins were vile & realised there's quite a lot of food here that needs to be consumed & that I cant have; namely half a pot of delicious yeo valley greek style yoghurt & 4 bananas.
I hate waste, particularly food waste it makes me . I was also getting very concerned about the cost of all this food which is in conflict with my race to debt freedom. While DD was out dancing with her mates I decided to eat the pot of yoghurt & hang the consequences ( almost immediate bloating, interestingly) & turn the bananas into a banana cake & take it in to work for others to eat.
The tin of slimfast was lurking onimously too as that's another £5 that I've spent & so far havent had any benefit from.
I rediscovered the wii fit which I'd actually forgotten about as I tidied it away, & was a bit ashamed when it said that my last visit was 58 days ago:rotfl:
Deleted all that info & started again
This morning I've weighed myself & it seems I've lost another lbso I'm feeling motivated again, although I really dont think that I'll be lasting the full 6 months or however long it's meant to be. The fruit issue still bothers me, especially since I saw that my blackcurrant bush & strawberry plants are now growing
.
Plans for today involve completing the laundry - hanging it all out in the garden - & yet another trip to waitrose to stock up on cottage cheese & chicken.
Better get dressed as even I wont brave the garden my 'jamas0 -
Sometimes if it is very early morning i sling a coat on over my pj's to peg the washing out
..But only in summer, and only before 8am!
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
On a Friday, I put the bin out on the road in my dressing gown  (I have put trackie bottoms on too :rotfl:)2023: the year I get to buy a car0
-
Well I would happily hang out washing in pjs' if my garden was attached, BUT as we have a first floor home, it means I have to walk down steps on the side of the house which face down the entire road & then go along a path (still open to the neighbourhood) before reaching the garden. Not only that, but it's a bit chilly & windy out there too with potential for huge humiliation
.
Tuna & salad for lunch - very tasty& I've decided that the words 'bread', 'cake' & 'chocolate' are banned from this thread until further notice
I will be buying biscuits for DD later as I just cant bear to have that delicious baking smell in the house . she's lucky she's still getting sandwiches for school :rotfl:
Me, cravings ? Nah, dont know what you're talking about :whistle:0 -
Boo hiss on the cravings, lots of hugs for those ... and, seriously, I see what you mean about the first floor living, oops!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
