Not a clue on the lyric, but yikes to that level of cleaning after nasty flapjacks got up and attacked you :rotfl: how very dare they!

The weather is *disgusting*, isn't it - I'm simply refusing to look out of the window now, there are no cats, its tipping down, its not worth it :p

    Seriously,

I have been so Old Style today I woudnt be at all surprised to wake up tomorrow in 1952 with a white picket fence & husband.

    Lets hope not though :p.

I was up & out of bed by 9 & all the ingredients for a slow cooked chicken casserole were in the pot by about 11. I got distracted :o by washing, a call from my Dad & the book.

Dad asked to pop over to drop off the plastic sheets that have been in his dining room for about a year - since I first asked for them - & he's now rather keen to get rid of them. Great, saves me a trip & he can advise on the best method of attaching them ;).

He also assured me that it wasnt going to rain so I could safely put my washing out on the line. I got all the stuff for the leek & potato soup ready & instructed DD to stir occasionally while I was outside.

It was incredbily windy - perfect for drying washing & also perfect for scattering all the newspapers that the local delivery kids had hidden behind the garages in the hope that no one would find out. they were all over the garden so it took a while to collect them up. Had a good look around while I was out there & noticed that the snowdrops are about to bloom & a couple of mini iris are also appearing.

Stuffed all the veg peelings in the compost bin & then headed back indoors to discover the soup progressing nicely & DD had awarded herself payment in flapjacks :D.

Dad arrived with the plastic sheets & I was delightd to discover that my mental sizing was spot on they are going to be a perfect fit to the homemade greenhouse frame :j. Need to find some clips now to attach them & then get growing stuff.

Dad was intrigued with the slowcooker & chuffed to take away the other small one that I'd tried to send back as it had a few scratches on it. (Cant remember if I mentioned that, but it was a palaver & in the end they sent out another one but asked me to 'dispose' of the damaged one). I now have :D.

DD insisted on having the leek & potato soup for lunch so I sent her off to the shop on her bike & she returned with some mini baguettes having spent £1 of the grocery budget remains.

After lunch I gathered the washing in as it started to drizzle a bit & then tackled the ironing which only took an hour as usual. Decided to make some toll house cookies which are YUM & now all I have to do is debone the chicken & dinner is all ready to go.

No Exercise Day today & my legs are a bit sore so assume that's good.

Last week I did 2 x weights workouts, 1 x cardio workout & 2 sessions of the 7 secrets yoga so this week I'm going to change it around to :

    2 x cardio workouts, 1 x weights workout & 3 x body plan yoga.

I'm not expecting any weight loss tomorrow as I have been a bit naughty with the sweet treats :o.

I have a rough idea of meal plans for the week in my head & apart from some milk, bread & potatoes which I forgot on friday, we have plenty until the weekend.

I put 2 of the 4 chicken thighs in the freezer so with those, the bacon, frankfurters & still unused quorn mince & chunks we're doing fine & they will form the basis of next weeks meals.

Need to do some calculating about direct debits & payments next week & willthen be back hopefully with another payment done :D

Mmmmmmm chicken casserole was lush. All washing up, drying up & putting away done. We have one portion of soup left & another of the casserole so that is one meal already sorted for the week ahead.

Watched Top Gear & had a good giggle as ever, also realise that I have yobbo tendencies; just love the sound of a throaty car. Can chat about that with Grumpy & the boys :D at work tomorrow.

Had another luxurious soak with my book & have just made another payment to Uncle Richard. Total outstanding is now £2250.

Snowball says DFD in 'just 5 months'; I'm still planning on May 1st. If home-job continues to decline then I'm not quite sure what I'll do to make it. Sell my body/parts perhaps , might get a fiver if I'm lucky :rotfl:

Groceries / H-hold will be low as apart from essentials ( loo roll) I'm well stocked. Discovered that my stash is now depleted so that's another thing I'll have to buy this week.

With just 12 weeks until DF day, I think it's time to put the minimal weekly shop plan into action. Buying the bare essentials for survival each week will be a game I can play against myself & I like to win.

I do have other contingency plans to help me succeed but will keep those quiet for now as the main aim to keep the spends low low low.

Off to bed now as I have to come up with something fab for Freedom Monday in the morning.

    G'night
    xx

You *are* a domestic goddess :) I do hope you haven't woken up in Stepford in 1952 tho :)

Other plans, Lula - have you ever done matched betting? There's still money there - its not the glory days, but there's still appreciable wodges of money to be made, £1000 tax free a year for at least a couple of years before you need to go on to awkward stuff.

EDIT - glad to hear about the home made greenhouse! I really hope you have a photobucket account so we can all see photos! Once the first push to unpack in this house had gone, I started saving the bubble wrap - they did most of the packing, and they come along with a *massive* roll of bubble wrap, so I have maybe 20 pieces - I actually have no idea - that can be taped together. Plus some big plastic sheets like your dad's been holding onto. The old bedframe I used to have (wooden, it died on me) is sitting in my garage - I'm going to use it as the framework for a veg bed, but its going to be able to have a cover on it too. If I ever get well enough to do anything - it'll have to wait till summer itself, probably, hey ho.

I will accept that compliment if & when I do achieve it.

I am most definitely not a domestic goddess :rotfl: Granted, I do like a clean tidy home & clean ironed clothes ... the cooking thing is more about saving money & occupying myself so that I dont go shopping ;)

When I say DF in 12 weeks; I mean that is when my self imposed debt-free date occurs. Frankly it scares the pants off me to think it's that close, bearing in mind I still owe well over £2,000 .

Clearly I am not going to be paying the £187 required each week sooooo my back-up plan is to keep on with all the savings funds & on that last day just throw them all at the debt & hope there's enough to clear it.

I know that some of that debt ( the balance transfer from the barlcaycard) is at 0% until October, but I really dont have a clue how to work out which bit & my statements are not offering any further enlightenment

Good day at work - had a lot of laughs with Grumpy & we had a trawl through Plenty of Freaks together and he agreed that there were absolutely no suitable men there for me & is now keen to write a profile for me to gon a proper dating site

A succesful NSD & we had pasta with half a jar of sauce for our meal. Tomorrow will be leftovers of soup & casserole night, & on wednesday I'll use up the rest of the pasta sauce along with the remaining 4 sausages, mushrooms & probably some rice.

I've regained the lost 2lb - not a surprise really, considering just how many flapjacks & cookies I troughed over the weekend :o did the superfit workout tonight & have felt full & claggy all day.

I need to break the sugar habit, so I'm trying to psych myself up for another detox. Unsuccesfully.

Past the witching hour so I'm off to bed now

    G'night

You're focussed on it, thats what matters! And you've got the knack now of saving for what you want - it all comes bit by bit.

I've not heard of plenty of freaks! Have to have a look there later - your Joe Brown rec. was a good'un!

Glad you like Joe Browns KC - I always find something I like there & with 10% quidco cashback it's almost guilt free spending ;).

I wouldnt bother with 'plenty of freaks' though - it's a very trashy dating site, I had a few 'interesting' experiences on it a couple of years ago & trust me when I say the men on there are nowhere near good enough for you, my dear :A.

It's been an odd week here - very busy work wise but with everyone in a very buoyant & 'let's get it done mood'. It really feels as though we are a team at the moment & with some encouragement from Gropey I'm trying to make sure that all departments are interacting in a positive way & am smoothing out differences. I like a happy ship & for everyone to feel valued & positive about their role within the business.

The exercise has fallen by the way side for the last couple of days. On tuesday evening I did a full yoga workout - not as enjoyable as the other 2 dvds but still useful in that it offers a slightly different sequence.

Had a call form my dad yesterday afternoon & he insisted on popping over with some finance info/lecturing (_pale_) but not until after he'd watched some programme  He didnt arrive until 9.30 & after 2 hours of listening to stuff I would struggle to comprehend in the morning, let alone that time of night after I've done 2 jobs & all the usual domestic & parent evening routine, I am none the wiser today.

The gruesome thing is that after he'd gone I realised that he'd scooped up my latest bank statement along with all the other papers . I am now waiting for the phone call asking why on earth I seem to be making weekly payments to Uncle Richard :o. That will teach me not to leave my paperwork all over the table for weeks on end. I have done all my filing this evening.

Home-job has been a bit more busy this week, but I finally gathered the courage to request cutting my days down to just 2 a week. It shouldnt make any difference to my earnings & the boss was happy to give it a try, so looking forward to seeing if it does have a positive impact on life.

Tuesday we shot to the co op in the evening & got plenty of bargains for £6.82p. Yesterday was a NSD & was today and I've topped up the funds :

    Presents £60
    DDs clubs £10
    Entertainment £30
    Clothes £ 50.

I wore my new ebay dress today & am really pleased with it. I won a pair of river island trousers last night for a mere £3.20 so I'm hoping thy arrive soon & fit ok.

I really need to try harder with healthy food dieting & having had 2 days rest from exercise, I need to work extra hard for the next 2 weeks if I'm to achieve my body targets.

Still need to dig those holes ...
