    Hello lovelies,

I'm finally here :j I wrote an epic post on tuesday, replying in great detail to everyone & when I hit the submit button , I got a snarky message saying that I was no longer connected to the internet  & everything disappeared .

My own fault really, I should do more smaller posts rather than one behemoth

So, that gave me the raging hump & I've spent the last 2 evenings practising my disco duets with DD on the wii. Really hope that none of those tunes ever appear while we're out, I concentrate so hard that it's now ingrained behaviour & I would probably just start bustin my moves involuntarily :rotfl:

It's all calm & quiet at the office at the moment, although I had a hectic day yesterday when Gropey threw a load of stuff at me just 2 hours before I was due to leave. I have to say that the Goblin really was a help and promised to email all the info I'd gathered to the client on my behalf as I was running out of the door. She even rang me later to double check she'd sent it to the right person :) so to Little Goblin I say ::T & even :A

I really hope this is the end of the feuding now as we have enough drama going on keeping up with Gropeys mood swings & tantrums. Grumpy is having an op in a couple of months time which means he'll be out of the office for a few weeks so Gropey will need careful handling then. Grumpy assures me that my nurses outfit is on its way & he will ringing in to request bed baths :rotfl:

Tuesday was an NSD & Wednesday was fuelling day. I put £20 worth in & with my Tatco voucher it only cost me £18.50.

Thursday was yet another NSD although we ran out of bread. In the cupboard was the bag of bread mix I bought when we had all that snow. It was the easiest & most fun thing to make ever. It slid out of the loaf tin & was barely cooled before we tucked in. That was the end of my bread rationing for the week :o. DD had it for breakfast, in her lunch box & made me promise to keep 2 slices for her tea today.

My neighbour dropped round another bag of veg yesterday so I'm saving the carrots & parsnips for lunch on sunday & I made a sort of mushroom soup for my lunch today, it went a bit frothy when i tried to blend it though :(

I had to send the lovely red shoes back as although they were absolutely perfect in every way, they were too big. It cost me £6.70 as they insist on having them sent registered, so what with that & the £4 delivery, they've cost me £10.70 just for the pleasure of seeing & holding them. I had already put a bid on another pair of shoes as a consolation prize, but was actually quite relieved when I was outbid as I think I've just learnt my lesson about how expensive it can be to buy stuff I dont need :o

School run time so will return with the rest of the news later ...

    bye for now
    xx
  • That happens to me as well Lula- with the you are no longer connected. Sometimes it works if you log in again and then go back to the previous page with the arrow at the top rather than the MSE link, you can see your post and re post then as you are now logged in.
If you tick, 'the keep me logged in' square, then it also stops it. But i prefer to log in as it keeps details private.

Everything sounds hunky dory at work.
that's the worst thing about oredering off the internet paying a delivery charge and then if it's not right paying return postage..it soon mounts up.

Annoyingly that is just how it work for their ebay outlet shop, I assume they sell end of lines etc. Taught me a lesson anyway & I've taken it as a severe warning that if I want to succeed with being DF by 1st May, then I cant be doing things like that.

I'm being rather naughty tonight & having a delicious Gordon :shhh: I cant seem to drink a bottle of wine over 2 nights without looking really rough & it goes off so quickly, whereas it's easy to have a couple of Gordons & it feels like a treat. A bottle of wine is for sharing & a Gordon is all for me :D

I have stuck to the workout schedule & feel much healthier although it is really knackering but reckon I need to make some changes to my diet when my food budget is back to normal; more veg, more protein & sweet things as very occasional treats only.

Aside from being energetic I've earned another £5 amazon voucher from surveys & am close to another £10 from another one. I've gone back on my word about saving all survey rewards for presents & have ordered myself some yoga dvds, mine are on video so can only use in my room which isnt really spacious enough.

On a similar subject; we had one of those lovely charity bags delivered so i made sure we filled it. 2 sets of bedlinen, some cushion covers, more of my clothes & some old music I no longer want.

I have now culled my vinyl collection to just 80 albums & about 10 singles & cannot see me going any lower than that. I know I could replace them with cds or donwloads but to be honest, they wouldnt sound right, they are of their era & that's how I want to keep them. Now that I have understood that, I am happy to keep them :D

I had to go to the co op earlier to get juice, potatoes, bread & some fruit & spent £ 5.54 which brings my total household & grocery spends to £74.15.

Tea - in response to your earlier query about my office job - at the moment my hours are 9-3 so they fit within school time. During half term DD either goes to a day camp or preferably a childminder. The childminder being the most expensive option, but DDs preferred carer & she really is wonderful. For the rest of the hols we use a mix of camps, clubs & the childminder.

Funds news : earned just enough to top up all the funds :

    Presents : £30
    Trips : 40
    Clubs : £5
    Clothes : £30
    PGL trip : £120
+ another £10 into the laptop fund ( need to check sig to post total)

I just want to get the PGL trip paid for now so I can have some pocket money again, I am in desperate need of some new mascara, mine is running out & I look ill without it.

I'm really pleased with how the grocery rationing is working out; cant beliee that I can spend so little, although I'm not eating as much fruit as I would like but am not going to stress over a weeks rations.

I'm off to update my sig now & then heading for bed with my lappie & books :D

I think my grocery spend is something I need to tackle - I am disorganised and as there's only me I could be more frugal :o

Sounds good, Lula - and you know, you only look ill without the mascara because you're used to seeing yourself in it, honestly!

I know what you mean about the wine vs. spirit issue - its no contest, much cheaper to have the odd tipple of spirit, when one is all you can take anyway - I sometimes water it down somewhat, I'm used to a longer drink and its gone so quickly!
