Sounds like a very tiring day and you have a whole year to think of an excuse as to not do it next year.

    Hmmmmmm,

I've never been quite so relieved to have my own home as today.

DD1 called to say they wouldnt make it to mine for lunch but she & bf would got straight to Dads. Have to be honest, I was slightly relieved at not having to provide lunch as neither DD nor I wanted to eat :(

Dad had reverted to grumpy old man today; made us feel as though we were intruding, upset DD1 by talking down to her in front of family & her bf & was generally very off hand . Intl Rellies had recovered just enough to spend a couple of hours with us which was reassuring :) & my lil sis was also there which always helps me to laugh at Dad rather than be really annoyed.

Returning to our cosy home & knowing that we dont have to go out or see anyone or cook or clear away tomorrow was just wonderful. DD set up the wii fit & was horrified to discover that although she is in fact 11 she has the 'weakness' of a 23 year old:rotfl:, I was equally impressed at being told I have the body of a 50 year old :o. Clearly, I need to spend more quality time with Davina s DVD & fitness trainers.

The good news is that I've had 2 NSDs in a row, we have loads of food & I got some fab pressies including an ice cream maker, which is a bit random but coud be fun & cant be anywhere near as heinous to clean as the chocolate fountain some idiot gave me :p. In fact, I just want to wear pj's tomorrow, mooch about in bed reading & playing with DD.

Another 8 days off work :j

Lula, that sounds perfect! Nowhere to go, nothing to do except use the fun things you've got in the house, wonderful. Sorry your dad was off with you and little DD tho. I guess the oldies try to live up to the stereotypes too, but it doesn't agree with them - my mum, for instance, can't really take the rich food the way she used to, but she will try.

Have a lovely day today, anyway, I'm glad you've got it to yourself, and enough proper holiday to relax in.

Having lazed about all day - didnt even wake up until 11.30 - watched tv, read for hours, had a long soaky bath & snacked on cheese, crackers & bad chocolate I decided to ramp up the activity level by doing a wii fit session. Kinda wished I hadnt as I have not not only gained a pound ( total unsurprise there) but it appears that I have aged 6 years in just 24 hours

At that rate I'll be older than my grandmother in a week :rotfl: I should stop doing this wii fitting immediately & revert to Davina & good trainer/bad trainer asap.

I'm bored with not making any payments to CC & considering drastic action just to get things moving again.

I'm also bored with all the festivity & food & if the snow wasnt actually starting to thaw I'd be bored with that too. Thankfully, I feel no compulsion whatsoever to spend hours of my life battling with other humans in the annual post christmas race to get 'barginz'. Just watching the scenes on the news makes me shudder & it's putting me off going to the cinema as the car parks will be rammed with crazed shoppers. I cant actually bear to drive 15 miles to the big multiplex though.

Think I'll get back to reading my book now & maybe eat some more guck :o

I did wii fit with my niece a couple of times before the arthritis really kicked in - it was awful doing the boxing and trying to knock someone's head off!

Agree totally about even going to the cinema ...
