I have just read that M+S staff who have lost money with Farepak, will get their money back in the form of M+S vouchers from their bosses. I wish all bosses were like that.
This now though causes another problem because how will the people dealing with the trust fund know who has received chargeback claims, credit card claims and M+S vouchers for staff who work at M+S.
I myself and my customers have lost a total of £1532.00 which i paid via Visa debit card i have put a claim in via my bank the Halifax, and i am still waiting for some news. If i receive all my money back via the chargeback i know for sure i will ring admin people and get my name (as i am the agent) took of the list for the fund money.
Another thing that i am worried about is the chargeback thing with the bank. I have been informed that should i get the money back and the halifax make a claim then with Farepak and they don't get their money back, that the bank can then take the money back out of my account. Can anybody shed any light on any of the above.0 -
I went into my bank (bank of Scotland/Halifax) on Wednesday and asked them to do a chargeback procedure for me as i paid by Visa Debit and they said they couldn't so came home and after reading this website, i phoned their complaints department to be told by a very helpful guy that they could do a claim for me and that he had just received an e-mail and it wasn't common Knowledge through the banks but as we paid by Visa we were covered under their terms so he filled a form in for me and e-mailed it to the relevant department. He told me he didn't know how long it would take to be credited back but there should be no probs.
I was just a customer who took vouchers for myself and even if i didnt get my money credited back i am of the understanding that the fund wil only distribute to Agents so i'm hoping that i get a credit in my account. I have two little girls looking for santa to come.
I hope that this whole mess sorts itself out and if i have learned anything from this is that i'm as well saving next year in a seperate account for crimbo and to use my credit card.0 -

Hi just been reading through new messages and I can`t get on to the unfairpak website either. Does anyone know what`s happening? I think there are a few of us who are members on this site as well the unfairpak site,Karren from Swansea if you read this ,can you let me know what`s wrong with the website?
I think it`s great for everyone who has managedto get a refund whether it`s from paying by visa to paying by provident but I don`t know how the administrators will be able to seperate all those people to those of us who haven`t had a penny back when apparently the Farepak database for accounts was all to pot.Have heard that so far we will get £32.00 per person, anyone heard anything different?0 -
