my sister has been affected in a big way by this at the time when our mother has just passed away - i only wish i had some spare cash to help her out, but, not to the tune of what she has lost, plus we have funeral expenses to pay now too. i will of course try my best.
read her story;-

You can listen to the Commons debate here - its over one and a half hours, but fascinating! All the MP's who spoke seemed very well briefed, and wanting something to be done - either to help out now, or to get to the bottom of why it happened.

Morning
If anyone that's been successful in getting some of their money back using the Visa chargeback system would be willing to talk to journalists about it could you send me a private message with your name, telephone number and where you are? We'd like to build up a bank of people available to talk about it if journalists ask (although it doesn't mean you'll definitely be contacted).
Thanks

Hi Andrea,
I've not got any cash back yet from bank but I do have Granada TV coming round in the next hour, I must have emailed everyone when we found out, and and a few have taken details & had a chat with me, with bits being quoted, also a chat with JV, anyway they rang this morning about the Sainsburys news, I'll let everyone know if the reporter can tell us anymore when he's been0 -
lindsey29 wrote:Can anyone else let me know if they are having trouble having funds paid back by their credit card company. My sister made a payment this way and her cc company is being very difficult. I have written a letter for her sending copies of statements, email from administrators and even a quote from the financial ombudsmans website re this process but they are still being blatant that they can only dispute the amount paid through them. Is anyone else having similar problems or has anyone received their money back through a cc company. I would be interested to know.
Thanks
I am really puzzled by this - according to all the information available (Financial Ombudsman etc) it should be straightforward making a claim under Section 75 but my sister is having a lot of trouble with her credit card company. Can anyone else shed any light on whether they have been sucessful in a credit card claim or if they are having the trouble that she is having. Her company sent her a letter this morning saying they are doing nothing and she is this afternoon contacting the financial ombudsman.0 -

Some more points in reply to "phishing":
1. The login with FP/HFH goes to an account where the users have already lost EVERYTHING, and so there is nothing more to lose.
2. Any "real phishing" site (site that is actually havesting logins) would only collect user/password details that cannot be used elsewhere, as FP site is shut down.
3. Didn't FP turn out to be a fake site, infact an entirely fake company anyway? And isn't that why we're discussing this in the first place?
Besides all that, the Family Fund, a charity, is in the process of setting up a relief fund called the Farepak Response Fund.
News will probably be on their website eventually:

Hi guys
An update from the man from Granada TV.
Sainsburys are giving 25% to every customer that ordered their vouchers, they be will given a list of the agents that ordered them.
Tesco's have put half a million into the pot, to be shared around.
I have just watched a DVD recording of Ian MC asking all MP's to give a days pay.
Park hamper are putting in a million {they want to obviously save face & get us all to save with them next year}.
And all the other big retail companies are also being asked to put in, the money will then be spilt between us all, how and when it will happen they don't know, it all depends on how long it takes to get it organinsed.
Ian M has asked a charity based company that helps family with disabled children to take on the orgaininsing of it, they got 30 yrs experience.
I suppose the interview went okay, but when your being asked loads of questions your mind goes blank I know I kept repeating myself, hopefully we'll all here something soon.
If you can get Granada TV then the story will be on from 6pm tonight0
