The Gov should now pass a law that voucher schemes should be insured for this type of problem.
If this was the case - choice going bust would not have caused all these problems.

The problem with doing that now is that it could push the remaining hamper companies out of business. Although I guess it would be better to do that in January rather than wait until they've taken money for 10 months. I wonder if the bad press will be enough to cause the closure of the other companies?

I for one hope so,as i would not wish what has just happened to me and my family, and thousands of others,to be repeated on other trusting people in the future.

Neither will I, I think this will affect other savings schemes, as I said in an earlier post it could happen to any of them.

I lost money this year too. What came in the post this morning: a Park brochure for next year!! I dont think so. I'm sure their business will suffer because of this.

My sister phoned and told me that there was something mentioned about a good will gesture and some families may get money back.

I know it is worth writing to your MP/MSP the Scottish Parliament have had a Motion enrolled there asking them to get the Scottish Executive to investigate this - so if you have not writtten to your MP it is worth a shot!
