Got a letter today from them it reads "dear sir or madam farepak food & gifts limited in creditors voluntary liquidation ,
then it goes on to say by law she has to report to the creditors
my question is as anyone Else got one of theses letters and maybe able to shed a bit more light on what it`s all meansNever hold your farts in. They travel up your spine, into your brain, and that's where you get s****y ideas from.
Hello and good bye....

Hiya
Yes, I've had one of those letters yesterday too.
It seems to me that they are telling us how much the company owed everywhere, and who'll get monies before us, and more especially how much the liquidators are charging for sorting the shambles.
It mentions the 5p dividend, not sure if that means that all we will eventually get (which I think was stated sometime ago as well) is 5p for every pound we had paid into Farepak?
I do think we as agents are way down the list of creditors.
It takes me straight back to the day that I had to go and tell a customer/ friend/ and she is a work colleague that the £500 she'd saved as a single parent of 3 young kids, where the Dad had disappeared to another country and doesn't pay a penny maintainence was lost. The £500 was for vouchers for all her Xmas pressies and food. I was actually physically sick before seeing her, and didn't sleep the night before and for days afterwards.
Makes you think of the trauma so many people went through at that time, both Agents and Customers, and now the government is bailing out the banks like crazy, and it is the banks fault they are in this position in the first place.:j0 -
I had this too and yep 5p in the pound is disgusting, It takes so long to sort out too. Another court case scheduled for next year. I keep getting mailings from park hampers but no matter what they say I'm not going down that road again.Olympic bronze challenge-started 7/1/06-total so far is £194.300
