    Thanks US,

Just the 49 to get now...

Sure it will be all downhill from here!

Hi Billy, I have always considered you a 'half-full' person :D

  • Hi Billy

Congrats to you on your first purchase going through, let Doohnibor commence! :j

As the others have said hopefully things will get smoother and slicker as you progress, me or Tilly could even knock you up a visio to share with all the other parties to keep them on track :rotfl:

FWIW I think you've absolutely made the right decision not to do squalor2, hmm, I wanted to do the 'squared' symbol there but couldn't quite pull it off, you'll have to imagine it! I can see why you gave it passing consideration but it wouldn't have been the right thing to do

That reminds me of a time I was in Grimsby, there was a very normal street of semis and two semis had been knocked through. If my taxi driver was to be believed it belonged to a local man who had won c. £1OM (yes that does say million) who had bought the two houses and done the conversion. It just goes to show that everyones idea of luxury is relative...

    Regards

    Thanks MCI,

I like to think it can only be easier going forward. I've hopefully exhausted this week's bad luck quotient!

    Evening All,

Well, it has begun. Picked up the keys (£740 to the lawyers), got new keys cut (£21.50 to the cutter), arraned for Colin to get a view from the various tradesmen about the new kitchen (£1,200), bathroom (£900) and necessary re-wiring (£1,950). The house will look cracking once it's done but if every day goes like this, we won't last very long before we become the new Rangers!!

Hope everyone is grand, dandy and not feeling nearly as poor as me today!

    Cheers,

    Billy
