    Evening All,

Not a massive amount of progress as lawyers are getting in the way of things. We now have three houses confirmed though. 2 more to find so we're back on the acquisition trail!!

    Cheers,

    Hi uzubairu,

I read that this morning as well. We should be property millionaires by the end of 2012, have a million in equity by the end of 2017 and have at least a million in the bank (or other appropriate investment vehicles) by 2022. Those are my planned dates in my head but we need a bit of luck and to be a bit pushier than we have been thus far.

Allied to that is giving up employment in 2014 at the latest with Moyra retiring in 2016 or thereabouts. She's already planning a life of pyjama days in the big house and jet setting.

    Cheers,

    Billy

I hope your sleeping pattern has started to improve a bit?

Great milestones Billy and I'm a bit envious of all those lovely spreadsheets you must have to support all those plans :rotfl:

Right now off to read that link that was posted above

    Smashing quote EE :D

PS, Billy, have you noticed EE's signature, I think Moyra can relate to that ;)

    Hi Billy

Just a quick one to say that I love reading your posts. I particularly love the way that you write about your other half, superhero Moyra. The post about her getting her wish that the shower would actually hurt her had me really giggling!

All the best for you and yours, good luck with the property empire!

    Hi ATT,

Not a massive amount although I can't blame anyone other than myself. I got properly caught up in the Rangers Tax Case blog last night (if only wishing made them disappear!) until about half 1. Moyra is stealing my car tomorrow so it means getting dropped off at work at 7 so I'll be having a good go at an early night tomorrow to get back on track.

I promise you the Doohnibor spreadsheet is a thing of beauty. It will only get worse as there's a control sheet totalling nearly 300 rows and each individual property will have a P&L and mortgage reduction tab and graphs to chart our merry progress. Very proud of it and it's just a shame that the proces isn't that much quicker to allow me to have a bit more interaction with it!

I did notice EE's signature. It's very Moyra. We've accepted that, in any sort of blind test, she'd pick the most expensive thing in a heartbeat. If only I could get her a wee gig on The Price is Right, we'd be rich (or, alternatively, have a load more daft tat hanging about the squalour!!)

    Cheers,

    Billy

    Hi SJ,

For all the abuse she gets, I hope it comes across as good natured. Despite her constant moaning, wittering, nay-saying and beating me at badminton, she's actually not that bad!! I'll need to have a wee think about what to do for our "anniversary" this year (a nonsense term that I thought I'd avoid with not getting married). It'll be 15 years that we've been together on the 31st of May so it's probably worth marking in some fashion.

The shower, you'll be delighted to hear, is still as big a hit as ever. My jacuzzi bath is still equally good fun albeit I'm now looking forward to my big cooker and my big telly as both are part of the summer renovations.

    Cheers,

    Billy

  • Hi Billy,
Wooohooo I've got my job back !!!!!
Will check things out tomorrow, oh did I mention am going to sunny Florida next week so will need some time off.
Lawyers are a pain and charge way over the odds.
Good luck with the 3 houses that you have bought, you will have ups and downs with them and the tenants, but thats life, you have to take the good times with the bad.
Went to see a new tenant tonight, they weren't happy as there was no coffee table in the living-room, told them to visit Argos and buy one themselves, I do give up sometimes.
    Take care

    Hi L,

Yes indeed! I'm on the last recommendation at the moment so we'll hope that is a goer. Deans unfortunately didn't come off as they couldn't come down to the necessary price (their property value dropped £10k in 8 months! to £95k). Shame as it was a nice wee house.

We think we've found a decent lawyer but we haven't had any bills as yet!! Those will doubtless be a good amount per property!

No problems with the holiday. I presume you're going somewhere with internet access so that the online scans can continue relatively uninterrupted. With the time difference, you'll be up at stupid o clock so it will likely be a very welcome distraction to be poring over Kirkton, Right Move etc...

We're definitely doing unfurnished letting so people will be similarly directed to the local argos for their furniture. I might see about our Colin doing them a deal on purchase and build of Ikea gear! Not all that worried about tenants at this point - I've got guns!!

    Cheers,

    Billy
