I've been to get my free game too Valli! Also got a dog gate for the kitchen as we've decided we're definitely having another dog. DD wants me to take her to the dogs home this afternoon but I've told her if we go then we can't choose 1 today as me and DH are going away for the weekend in 2 weeks and I don't want it to either have to go to my mum and dad's with the kids or get someone to stay here and dogsit for me when it will only just be settling in IYSWIM. We did go and have a look during halfterm but there wasn't 1 that was suitable. We've decided we're having a smaller dog so it's a case of finding 1 we like as me and DH have always had larger dogs.

Anyway after all that waffle - not done too much here apart from washing. Just about to have some dinner.

Toots - make sure you rest today and get yourself sorted.

  • Sockdrawer - how's your salami coming on?

Hi PenPen and Hex2 I'm going to get on with it today. Yesterday was spent rather productively clearing the spare room with DH so we can move DS2 in there and he can have his own bedroom.
I've decided to go with Raw Fermented Snack Salami, using the recipe I got with the supplies. I'll post on the Salami thread so I'm not all off topic on Flylady.
Flyingwise, we've nearly got DS2's room sorted out, and just need a plasterer to come. DH is sorting that out.
Also been up to the eyes in organising our school reunion. Never Never ever again! (and I organise events for a living and love my work!) It has truly been a nightmare, and I'm very cross and fed up about the way some of the people involved have behaved. I kind of let that get to me last night, and didn't get a lot of sleep. I do wish I didn't wake up cross because of things. It's so counterproductive, and only hurts me! Anyone got any techniques they could pass on to relax your way out of it or anything?
DD2 and DS2 have a small fundraising show I'll be going to later, though DH has opted out as he is wanting to press on with the room. I can't believe the difference all this flying is having on our home. It's absolutely wonderful. Will go to lists later. Hope everyone has a lovely day x

Toots hope your feeling better soon. I'm not sure what it was here last night but i did have to go and get the extra quilt in the middle of the night. :rotfl:

I've spent most of the morning on the internet so i suppose i should get up of my bum and do something. :D
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Ironed almost everything (maiden and hangers filled so had to stop) and mended DD's school trouser hem - they have been waiting to be done since before half term *blushes in shame* but they're done now *glow*

Well Valli I can't lie and say I made any attempt to clean it :D just glared.... Didn't work, bother

Soooooo angry about - stupid parent decided she will drop out on Tuesday from her piece she insisted doing. Wouldn't mind if she didn't do it with everything she is supposed to do

Soooooo happy that the threat of legal action against idiot seller has got me a promise of a full refund including the return postage they initially insisted I must pay

So a mixed bag, dog been out, collapsed in a heap for a little while. Going to empty the bath now of all the laundry as I need a shower then work out how we're going to redo the boys rooms .....

    Hello

Hope everyone is ok, as I've only caught up with the last couple of pages.

Yesterday I spent at least 15min in each of the downstairs rooms. Stairs/landings cleared and hoovered. Cooked batch of spag bol ready for tomorrow's tea and the freezer. DS2 and I went out late to call at Aldi for some essentials and M'hall to check out the new Lakeland shop :D (Thanks, Valli!). I bought some pie plates (planned purchase and 3 for 2 :T) and have been drooling over the catalogues since.
Today I've had a slow start (night out last night :o), made bacon sarnies for DH and DSs, got rid of some rubbish upstairs, sorted through medicine drawer, portioned up the spag bol and put chicken in SC. Also collected, sorted and started on laundry.

Plan for the rest of the day:
    HW with DS2
    washed and dressed
out to use vouchers for new shoes (work shoes have a hole in and ankle boots had broken soles) and do top up shop at Mr M's - DH may buy me a latte, too ;) Oh, I'm also short of tops for work.
    turn chicken into tea
    laundry
    work
maybe visit friends down the road
    more tidying/cleaning in the kitchen

Have a good Sunday, everyone. Toots- please take care of yourself and rest as much as you need. Chores will wait!

    xxx

Toots Queen Victoria sends you one of her wet nose kisses and hopes you are better soon. Woody is outside trying to catch something for you, could be a leaf, could be a small mammal - bit like the tombola really x

Of to finish the hoovering whilst the kettle boils and then ironing and x factor
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair
