PP/Sockdrawer I was going to ask about the salami too? I made sausage meat but haven't ordered any skins yet. Busy couple of weeks and I haven't done anything much outside work.

Lots to do today, including a trip to BnQ. Need to push on with finishing the new bedroom as it is going to be in use shortly - it has lights and power, but the floor is currently on two levels with an inch ledge half way accross the room. Fireplace nees airbricking and plastering. Also need to think about practicalities like carpet and furniture.

My car is back, and the gears are a joy to use :j. It is a Landrover Defender, and it has always been a heavy/hard gear change so this is wonderful.

Trying to decide about Christmas cake or not. Have ingredients, but there is usually only me who eats it.

    Morning all,

Spent last night comforting a terrified Ebony, and didn't see a single firework at our local display. :( Also, the friend who I'd not seen for ages, was so tired after the fireworks that she went straight home as she has a 2 hour drive back to work today, so I didn't get to see her either which was a shame. Still, she's off on leave in a couple of weeks, so hopefully I'll be able to catch up with her when she's back, as her parents only live in the next village.

Realised today that I've got over 3/4 of a tank left of petrol, and I don't want to lose it all on Wednesday when I get my new car, so I'm going to use some of it up going to Gunwharf today. If you're around Froddy, maybe you'd like to meet up? I've asked LadyL, but so far she hasn't received the message, so not sure if she'll be with me or not. Will send you a text in a minute in case you don't read this in time. Anybody else who's in the area today and would like to meet up there, send me a PM.

Just heard back from someone on freecycle who lives in my village, and she's got lots of windfall eating apples to give away, so hopefully I'm going to pick some up this afternoon and I'll be able to make a crumble out of them (makes mental note to pick up a couple of bramleys too on way home).

Moon has cleaned the hob for me at my request, so that's one nasty job that I no longer have to do. He's off shooting in a minute, so I thought I'd have a bit of me-time, as he's not too keen on shopping.

Better go and get myself dressed now.

    Happy flying everyone,

  • Good morning everyone, the sun is shining here today but it has rained quite a lot earlier so everything is very wet still. I haven't been outside yet so I don't know how cold it is.

I had a lovely day yesterday. I started by making some soup, then decided to do some batch baking so we have lots of lovely things in the tin and freezer. Apart from tidying the kitchen, I didn't get much flying done, so I'll have to make up a bit today.

1 load of washing done and in the TD and another load in the WM
I'm going to try and do this ironing today too.

Everyday things to do!!!! (copied from various ladies, sorry but thank you)
    Tidy the kitchen.
    Load/unload/reload DW.
    Wipe surfaces.
    Empty and clean bin
    Sweep + mop kitchen floor.
    Maintain the shopping list.
    [STRIKE]
Tidy main bedroom and make bed.
    [/STRIKE]Tidy and S+S bathroom.
    S&S living room
Hoover downstairs i.e. living room, hallway, bathroom, dining room and study.
S&S study, wipe over PC desk and try to keep free from clutter.

I'm up at 6:30am, I don't do lie ins either. However I tend to be a bit idle when I get up and just sit with a cuppa and a book/computer or something. I'm really impressed that you can get going first thing.:T

    Morning all

We had a lovely time with friends last night but it was a very late and boozy night so a bit jaded today :o

    So quite light duties:

    [STRIKE]Tidy downstairs[/STRIKE]
    hoover through downstairs -started
    ironing and x factor
    HHweeding later
    dust DS1 room
    [STRIKE]Check kids have done homework[/STRIKE]
check insurance doc ready for quotes
[STRIKE]check bank accounts and move money[/STRIKE]

Serena I did get to garden yesterday but it was weeding out forgetmeknots and wild violets which have invaded beyond belief and are tiresome and fiddly to remove so not 'nice' gardening. I hope DH sorts out the bed problem, I feel your disappointment.

Glad you're back home safe and sound Toots.

Lovely sunny day here but quite chilly. Still, I've got washing out on the line. Going to start a roast in a minute. Hope everyone's OK.

DD told I expect her to be civil to my friends (ie the LSB) - don't expect her to like him as such but she has been brought upto be good mannered. So I expect her to be good mannered.

Loads to do but sunshine always lift my mood so I shall crack on!
