    Plan today
Keep the wm going. x 1
    mop kitchen floor.
Get boys to redo their room.
Brush and mop back hall, Bo likes to be in at night now and it's his room.
    Get kids bedding all washed.
Go to shop for light bulb and something for dinner.
    Get sticks in for tonight.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    :hello:Hi ladies!

Still not sleeping well, but at least no headache today, and it gave me the chance to check on DS2 - still unwell today, but the temp seems to be coming down this afternoon, and no other symptoms.

Masses of work done early, to clear hall, stairs and everything in the way in the two bedrooms for the mattress delivery. They came early - the mattresses are great, but our new bed isn't.

It's not made to the standard that we'd expect - OH has a carpentry background, and my brother has his own bespoke joinery company, so we know our woodwork! None of the struts in the headboard are the right length, and have either gaps, or obvious glue filler, the top of the footboard posts have been sanded too long and have burn marks, there is scratch and a chunk out of one of the side pieces, and an area of very obvious filler in the headboard. This wasn't a cheap bed- over £800 with the mattress - and I'm so disappointed!

The salesman has just arrived to look at it - he has offered to replace it, but we're wondering if we'd do better to buy from another store.

I'll leave OH to deal with it - I either get cross or upset:o

toots - hi honey, lovely to see you back home!

froddington - Dillinger's Escape Plan at the Electric Ballroom, Camden. As I said, some gig.:p Couldn't remember all that, just asked DS1. He says it was really good.

    Hi sexymouse
    - great news about the new car - sounds great! I like the look of the Jazz. I'm thinking of a Kia Rio - may not be a cutting edge super mini, but sounds very reliable.

Hi also to hex and dusty!! Hope you're enjoying a good weekend, as this week doesn't sound wonderful. We had beautiful sunshine here, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed it lasts for tomorrow, i want to do some gardening!

My whole house is a complete tip. The only room which doesn't have stuff dumped in it from the two bedrooms, is the cloakroom. It's beginning to stress me out. I know there's nothing I can do about it until the beds are sorted, but I really don't like it!

Pigpen thanks for that, reassuring when you know you aren't alone. I can't keep my head up just now so it's on a pillow for 15 minutes while the boys do some of DS1s room as DS2 has finished his.

Kazw by the time the eBay seller had finished messing me around it was over the 45 days and eBay won't do a thing about it. Really frustrating, they said it was 3 different parts causing the issue and took 2 weeks to send each one.

Done a huge amount of the work needed for the site, rest can wait until this head ache eases. Other stuff since my last post - 2 washer loads, 2 TD loads, bag flung, more sitting room sorting, DW emptied & started refill, drain outside unblocked, made a brunch
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

I've completed my 10 bag challenge, 3 binned from earlier, a bag of bags in car for shopping purposes, a bag filled with stuff to live in the camper van, we each (3 of us) grabbed a shopping bag and filled it with crapola from around the house. Hoover bag used, filled and got rid of and a bag filled for charity shop.

My fridge looks and smells lovely, kitchen looking considerably better. Tomorrow I'd like to do a baking day, just for me and relaxation purposes.

Off to get ready to go out with hubby, that's if the pj's and coal fire don't persuade me not to.

Oh how infuriating, I know exactly what you mean. FIL and BIL was/is a time served carpenter, and DH is a keen hobbyist and it hurts when stuff isn't as good as he/they can do. I have two bunk beds being delivered shortly and I dread them arriving in case he hates them .

Not a huge amount done here, my hips are quite *coughs* bad so not much done.

Aww bless her :) My horrors aren't even bothered by the fireworks. I have one dog fast asleep next to me snoring, one dog asleep on the bed upstairs snoring and two cats out in the kitchen munching away on the dinners. I think you could drop the bomb around these little monsters and they wouldn't care..lol
