love, hugs and spoons to those needing em!

glad to see you back TOOTS and that everything went relativley smoothly.

my back is a bit better today so going to attempt hoovering downstairs at least. i wont risk carrying the hoover upstairs, but can do downstairs without to much effort.

im a little annoyed today as just checked rightmove and the starter house we want has been reduced to 110K, it doesnt look to be in the nicest area to those that dont know it but its an amazing house for that price, 4 bed, en suite, double garage and large drive, it does need some modernisation but we could do so much with it but chances are it wont be on the market when oh is back which is really annoying me. im more annoyed at myself i suppose as we were going to sort out power of attorney before he went away but didnt get round to it so i cant do the mortgage thing without him.

    Afternoon all,

Lovely to see you home safe and sound tootles! mwah!

Well after all of your help with the votes on the meal tonight, said friends can no longer come over, as the hubby's shifts have changed at work, so we are having to rearrange for a weekend some time in the future when friend has checked his shifts on t'internet (they are both in the police). But, this seems to have been a blessing in disguise, as although Moon and I have been frantically tidying last night, the house could still do with some work. Plus, I ran into an old school friend in town this morning, and she's just got back from Afghanistan (she's in the gurkas sp?) and is going to the fireworks in our village tonight, so we may catch up with her for a drink once the fireworks are over (staying in during them to keep Ebony company as he hates fireworks). It was so nice to see her, as she was my best friend in high school, and I've not seen her for years!

So far this morning, I've cleaned some of the bathroom, done the meal plans for the week, done the food shop, and put it all away. I'm off to a first birthday party at 1pm, so just doing a bit of chilling whilst I'm waiting to go back out.

Well done on the progress with the toilet training Hellyboo - I admire your patience. I guess my friend will be going through a similar thing soon with the little boy who's birthday it is today. Fingers crossed that Moon and I have girls, as I don't relish the prospect of the double (sitting down and standing up) training with boys.

Well I'm off to catch up on some of the other forums I'm on, and maybe play a game of online suduko which I've recently got into.

Hugs and well wishes to LadyL, Diva, LW (pleased you love the Jazz - I'm getting excited about mine now), cyclingyorkie's DD, and serena's DS.

    Hi all
It's my first weekend post in a long time...need to keep on the straight and narrow over the next day and a half, otherwise it's chaotic come Monday.

Apart from my dailies, I've got a short list of things to do:

Wash dining chairs and re-wax as required/if necessary
Sort through some more junk, reallocating it to the bin/charity shop as appropriate.
Sort the living room again: DSs toys are taking over, HHI x 2 ()
Binbag and recycling dance - whole house
Sort the junk beside my desk - it's on the floor, blocking the back door (we don't use said door as we have patio doors on the same wall, but in an emergency we might have to)
Sort kitchen. I've been out this morning and it's a bombsite....

I think that's enough to be getting on with.

Hope everyone is OK - sending spoons, hugs, kicks in the rear as necessary.

    Take care

    Back !!

    All lists done

OH did all the hoovering, I did everything else.
    Wm has finished all loads
Drying is now taking place and this could be some time.

Ebay listing done for today, got bored of listing, have listied 60 items today, I blame the flying in the loft, stuff has been up there for years, mainly ex hubbies, / or step son (1) told them both about 3 weeks ago to comeand get it, or I would sell / tip it, both said something to the effect of, 'well I haven't wanted it for at least 10 to 15 years so get rid', so I am!!

    Hugs xxx

  • Thanks for the lovely welcome.

Not getting much done today! DH and I went to find out about a mortgage this morning to buy our first home, and I so think to help me get over the depression of discovering we aren't going to be able to afford much more than a shoebox, :( I will go and make some Christmas biscotti! Never made it before so should be interesting! :xmassmile

I hope everyone is enjoying the Fireworks this weekend _party_
