I tell you what is nice tho.. diet coke and orange juice, mixed together, called a 'Muddy Water' round here and is one of my faves when I am out, although a lot of bars don't like to serve it as it looks like off beer. :p
When I worked in a pub, that was called "Thames Water":D I have to admit, I can't abide it myself - probably because I loathe Coke.:o
If I want a long drink, I'll have Real Ale for preference - I like the lighter ones, like Great Oakley Wagtail.
Otherwise, depending on mood, vodka and tonic or otherwise single malt whisky (unadulterated).
Oh, and I like champagne, too.....:D

We picked a load of sloes yeaterday, so my sloe gin is now on the go.;)

The anxiety level is rising here now as its only 4 more sleeps till i get my operation. I keep having pains too so am scared that it might flare up and they won't operate. It has been such a long long wait for this.
Awww (((HUG))) try not to worry, it'll only make things worse. I really hope this all goes well for you, and puts paid to your troubles for once and for all.:o

Busy morning - I packed Mr LW off to the farmers market with a list (I don't like going, as I don't like being in a crowd in the wheelchair - being at groin level with everyone else is deffo not fun!) I've tidied the kitchen, then sort of messed it up again making Quorn cheese tomato and onion quiche, and some cherry and coconut buns for Mr LW's lunch box. Got the BM on the go too.

We're just going to declutter some of the quiche. then Mr LW has to do the weekly car check (oil, tyres, washer bottle etc) and there's a pile of ironing for him to do. I have a couple of tops that could use a quick iron, so I may blag him into doing them for me.;)

I need to get the household accounts up to date, and also sort out some sort of meal plan, now I know exactly what we have to work with for the next week.

    Lunch calls......:rotfl:

I'm a bit upset now. Went for my run (40mins), came back and dyed my hair, then after all showered drew back the curtains and they came down in my hand. I now have to work out how to get the pole back up there in a massive gap as quite a big section of wall came down with it

Aftynoon all! I spent this morning washing all my windows, inside and out (so glad I only have a ground floor flat!) and the back door got a wipe down. Nets went in the wash last night so are all up and sparkly clean, curtains are in the wash now.

Having a sitdown for 5 mins while the wife is in town, then I'm going to do the dishes and give the radiators and skirting boards a wipe.

I found a photo album on ebay last night that will fit 600 photos for £11.39! :D Cheapest I'd seen online was £25. So will get busy filling it when it arrives.

Lamewolf got to admit it's not for me if I am out all evening (like Friday) as I feel bloated but if popping out for a couple, usually one will be a real ale depending what they sell. I worked in a real ale pub for a few years which gave me the taste for it. Irish beers go down well too. Our holiday in the Wensleydale area was handy for that :) pub on site was a Black Sheep

    Fed up ((hugs))

Well there is 4 large bin bags full of laundry from the bath and noticed a linen hamper full in DS1s room so widow twanky is my name this week!

Looks like DP will have to follow his promise for a treat tea :) as the boys rooms are ready for everything to be put at the end of DS1s room and dismantle the beds so we can start the move. DS2 will need a new bed at some point but for now he will have to go on the futon with his mattress on top I think until funds allow. I want a storage bed but his is too high to put under DS1s.... Don't think there is another way of doing it
One day I might be more organised...........

Thanks Lamewolf, I am sure it will be fine but my mind tends to run riot especially in the evenings/nights. Still suffering with twinges but am more relaxed now. If I can get the pain resolved I can then seriously begin to work on my depression and hopefully return to work.

Fedup I bet you were not impressed hun. Must be something in the air as I pulled down my bedroom curtains the other day and I recall someone else had an incident with a curtain pole too. Hopefully it is fixable.

Nice to see you back Toots, not sure where you have been but that doesn't mean your not in my prayers. Hope the side effects soon ease and make sure you don't push yourself too much xx

I loved the thought of you glaring at your bathroom sorry it didn't work though. Sorry to hear they wouldn't remove your dads
gallbladder but I will take note and keep allllll of my chins up :rotfl:

Had a nice morning, had lunch with my parents and sister (cold chicken sarnies nom nom) and lots of hugs with my niece.

Came back and washed up, fetched in coal and lit the fire (brrrr so cold here), ironed my clean curtains ready to hang back up (THE SHAME - I have only washed these once before in the 5 yrs I have been here) and had a quick whip round lighting my oil burners and folding clothes etc.

Just been helping my dad re-fix my curtain rail, although it has been nice waking up to the sun streaming thru the windows it does seem colder without the curtains up. Now it will be :coffee:, crochet and grand prix time. Swiftly followed by a luxurious hot bath in a Lu$h bubble bar..
