I've attempted a repair of the curtain pole bracket by filling the hole full of filler and shoving the bracket back in and leaving to dry.

Finger's are crossed it works as the window faces out onto the train track and moon and light!

  • Dusty, that's terrible news. You and yours are in my thoughts :A

Love all the poppies, but I now am confused as to who's who :o

Had a very busy day of lawning, leaf sweeping, ironing, cooking, pootling, and I;m now shattered.

    Missing DH badly today :(

Going to light a fire, light a Lily Flame candle, and eat tea with DS (DD is off to a bonfire). Early night, methinks :)

I didnt get anything done yesterday as I was away on a EFT course. I was shattered when I got home.

Today each room has had a S&S.

    Load of washing done.
    Broth made.
    Recycling out.

Just had a call to say the doctor has been to see mum and she has a chest infection. She has been prescribed liquid anti biotics. They explained to the doctor that she will not take any medication. The staff will try her tonight and review the situation tomorrow. I did notice a big difference in her the other day and her legs are so bad because of the circulation problem. She is hardly eating now and sleeping lots. Could I please have some thoughts for her. I will go down tomorrow.

Toots Glad to see you back. Take care xx.
Dusty Sorry to hear about the mum from the school.

Hugs and spoons for everyone specially Toots. Lady L. Diva and LW.

    Hi all

not too much flying done here, altho the place isn't too bad :D
We spent most of the morning getting some free firewood (v MSE!). Then lunch - roast chicken, yummy, & pear crumble. So the kitchen is now pretty tidy. Priority for next week is one of our rooms of doom (one of the spare bedrooms). At the moment it's full of boxes for the attic, old toys, & a bath, & a shower, ready for when we eventually have our bathroom done. No money for it at the moment. Plan is to get rid of as much as possible! So I need to do something in there every day, please feel free to chuck mules my way if I don't post that I've done something in there ;)

hex - hope the lighting gets sorted soon!!

hugs for dusty, spoons for LL, Diva & toots - do take it easy, please!

lol at what you'tre typing Hex - glad you explained the reason or I might have attributed it to a nice Rioja (or similar). Hope you're sorted.

Dusty - awful news - puts it all into perspective really...

    Have cleaned out handbag
    fed us
    fed cats
nearly broke a leg trying to get out of the back door as a kitten was coming in
ironed today's washing - wasn't dry but it was 'lightened' as my mum calls it - all evening by the radiator should sort it ;)

oooo - must remember to ring vets and book Jynx in - and not clash with my docs appointment or Peter Kay.
