  • lil-me - it was lovely to read your quote from your friend with ME.

My DD1 has had it for 5 years....and 2.5 years ago she was bedbound in the dark.:(

I have booked tickets to take her to see Harry Potter - she is a huge fan and is a bit nervous as she hasn't been to the cinema for over 5 years.....

She is stilll worried as to how she will cope, but the prospect of waiting for the DVD to come out was unbearable..so its fingers crossed for the 22nd November!:D

    Hi
Decluttering DS to school, then going to make a start on his room. As usual he has pulled all the books off the shelf so they need sorting, and there are a glut of teddies in his bed instead of on the shelf. I'm surprised there was room for him last night...

Had a good night's sleep as the baby slept from 7-7 :j He usually sleeps through but I lift him for a "dream feed" at around 11. Tried without last night and he didn't seem to miss it. This is good as it means I can go to bed earlier if I want :)

Don't know whether to pop to the post office for a postal order while DS1 is at school, or leave it for tomorrow so I can get more flying done. Post office is a bit out of the way...might leave it till tomorrow and just pop out leaving OH with the kidlets - he has a list of jobs for the weekend!

    Will catch up later x
    So, there are these boys,

Lil-me, huge hugs for you lady, its a difficult time in loads of areas but I'm fed up too of the cost cutting being used as an excuse to slash already basic services.

Lets just say in my county there is nil provision for ASD children and young people, I'm thinking of setting something up myself, so will need to pick your brains on this matter hun.

I have the best time at Linkin Park last night, journey there and back was a nightmare and I've decluttered about a weeks worth of energy on last night but it was brilliant.

Another marker on my recovery journey as before I became ill myself and hubby had seen them in Sheffield, counting as one of those great days of your life events, then got poorly and wondered if I'd ever be able to see them again because of my knackeredness, but HELL YES...they were amazing and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to have gone.

Cyclingyorkie, lovely news re your DD1 and her Harry Potter cinema trip, hope everything runs smoothly and she has a great night.

Off to examine the pit and get some work done.

Today I must do mileage, letters, recording and research.

Fabby day at Sudbury yesterday - traffic jam going (A38 Markeaton roundabout as per) but a great, clear run coming back. Some small boys wrote Help us - take us to McDonalds/KFC/Burger King on a pad - aand presumably were showing it to other drivers! A mum helping was laughing, teacher just had twinkle in eye but confiscated pad and edited it before returning to child ;)
Valli's criteria for a succesful school trip met (ticks box) - nobody threw up! (There were other criteria, of course, but I HATE vomit and am liable to join in)

So here I am sitting in summer skirt and t shirt, windows open (see menopause thread;)) loads of washing on the line, more in the WM and the house is a MIDDEN. So soon as my tea is drunk I'll be looking for company

    HHC at 10 anyone?

Still feeling really low on energy this morning. :( Got woken up by the coal man emptying bags into the coal shed which backs onto my bedroom.
Need to make some lists too, one for hospital bits and one for next weeks jobs to do, decided rather than follow next weeks flying list as I have only two days I will adapt the flying list to make sure all that needs to be done is done.
I also need to make some Christmas lists of what I need to finish up and also finish loading music onto my GodD1's MP3 for her birthday tomorrow. Luckily she is into the same kinda rock/alternative that I am so should be fairly straight forward. :D

Just need to de-clutter some more coffee and find some energy from somewhere. If anyone has any to spare please send it over!! :o

Good mood this morning for a change. Been to the bank to pay in the hefty tax rebate cheque that landed on the doorstep :j

Just waiting in a queue now to get onto the ticketmaster Netherlands site, see if I can get some Take That tickets for Amsterdam...

Thought you might like to see this before I get started on the hole that is DD's bedroom.

This is how DS left his room this morning:

And this is how DD lives:
