Good morning, have no chance of catching up with the thread! I had a spendy weekend but managed another NSD yesterday so up to 3.

Was hoping to have another today but as it is supposed to be the nicest day of the week, I am taking the kiddiwinks out to the beach (though, not to sunbathe lol)

Urgh dunno whats going wrong this month but no more NSD's for me. In a desperate attempt to get one I tomorrow I put cash on my lunch card for work and paid my subscription online for my weekly local paper tomorrow. So today, tomorrow and Friday SHOULD be NSD's. Weekends are usually good for me aswell but I dont want to get too ahead of myself. Stuck where I was (3 i think) and will pop back this evening to update on my progress - or lack of

:doh:ole Dingle-Donut here was intending to mention getting cheaper beauty treatments at a local college in yesterday's post. What am I like! I blame spending so much time wiv me muvva & her absent-mindedness has infiltrated via osmosis into my noggin too :oWe've two not too far away with hair salons, waxing etc & one also has a restaurant for the students to practise culinary & front-of-house skills; there's motor garages for basic repairs & things & a kost of other stuff so I suggest taking the time to find out what they offer & the prices they charge before heading to the high street.

I'm in shock & can't quite believe how I managed it yesterday..I had two--count them! 1..2!--visits to MrT & didn't spend a thing! No3 wanted a lift because of the rain & I sat in the car, then later me muvva & I had lunch (Thanks Mum :smileyhea) but no time to shop as I had to get back for a phone call I didn't know about till No2 called my mobile to say it was coming ;) Dinner was a mish-mash of bacon pieces &
mixed veg cooked in chicken soup & served with pasta, which wasn't that bad at all.

So, to conclude, I am now on No 7 please.

jiintyb- glad the day went as well as it could and what a lovely, thoughtful idea with the bags you received :)

Theoretically today should be an NSD, but I'm in the mood for (more) Xmas shopping, so may well get some more done online (far too cold for me & DS3 to brave real shops!!)

Just popping in to report Monday as a NSD ....... BUT I ended up spending £2 on Saturday after I'd declared a NSD so I'm still stuck on 2 :( I rushed out late to Next to spend my voucher and I went £2 over in panic buy mode - Bah.

I'm not doing so well this month, I should be back tomorrow to report a NSD though as I have no money to spend.

Hope everyone is well, I'm going to have a catch up with the posts now.

Hi Kerri - dont worry about your chutney, it will be fine. No chutney tastes good straight after making. It needs time to mature and in that time the acid taste will diminish and all the other flavours will come through. It usually needs about 3 months in a cool dark place to do the business and obviously it will keep for ages. It will be fine for Christmas. Well done you for having a go!:T

Thanks Jinty - I am pleased to report that i've just had some in my ham sarnie for lunch and away from the acrid smell of vinegar that is still lingering in the house (must do something about that before OH gets home ) i can confirm that it actually does taste quite nice - phew! this one is (apparently one) you can eat pretty much straight away so by Xmas it should be good to go. Whew! thank goodness for that, just had a real wobble while in town at lunch thinking 'OMG why didn't I just buy something??'

Glad that everything went as well as could be expected yesterday - I always think it's the hardest part in the lead up to, and the actual day of the funeral - bit like you are stuck in limbo and can't really move on with the grieving process. Big hugs to you xx
