Hi all, just checking in to report that including toady I am up to 5 and on day 3 of my "in a row" challenge. Some good news today, my promotion to cover maternity leave has been extended for 3 months longer than I was expecting as the lady is just coming back part time to star with.
A quick tot up at dinner time says that will bring our DFD forward by at least 3 months. Hurrah :j
By the way has anyone else noted that their mental arithmetic has improved no end since they started obsessing about DFD's, interest rates and so on?:D0 -
Evening!! Well today wasn't a NSD! Realised I needed to go to Mr T on the way home so I got my lottery, some food hopefully enought til the weekend and I put aside my £10 out ready for tomorrow's hair cut!! So hopefully can tot up a few more this week!!!
ETA: I've got a tax rebateWasn't expecting it!! Don't know how sensible to be with it?! I could buy some xmas presents and treat myself to a new DVD player (mines broken) OR be super sensible and pay it off my cards?!
Just keep swimming0 -
Hi everyone, number 4 yesterday and number 5 today
No chance of catching up with the thread, hope everyone had a good bonfire weekend! xxTrying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon .... :cool:0 -
Hi everyone, hope you are all well
Another NSD for me please, got soaked doing doggie walks so have been inside all huddled up since 11am, think I am just about dry now :rotfl:
Ended up not going to yoga in the end, Mr Candyapple has pulled a muscle in his shoulder so it was a soaps night on the sofa blubbing for poor old JackWe have found a yoga class right on our doorstep though so we are going to give that one a go instead, it means not having to do a 20 min hike there and back in gawd knows what weather, and we are lazy so and so's
Day off tomorrow, and Santa has arrived early (in the form of the in-laws) with a lovely flat screen TV and stand to put it on, so tomorrow will be trying to sort the front room out, getting rid of old rubbish tv, and getting new one all set up with the new freeview recorder thingamajig....I'm tired just thinking about it all.
Hope you all have a fab evening.

Evening all - I am just in the process of fuming us out of the house making Winter Chutney - I hope it tastes better than it currently smells!
I am also coming on to hang my head in shame and announce YET ANOTHER spendy day. However, it was on an Xmas present for my friend from etsy. She's quite hard to buy for and specifically sent me the link. Normally I'd still try to find something else, but the girl selling had a sale on until tomorrow and this was the last one available (it's a photo from a range the girl does - my friend already has one of them). So I decided to just buy it in the sale - which leaves me enough in my budget for a wee surprise gift too.
Right - off to check on this chutney....Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Why don't you do a bit of both? There's nothing wrong with a little treat - esp if your prev DVD player is broken, stick to the Xmas presents you were planning but perhaps buy one or two early and then put the rest to your cc.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

DH absolutely loves Saw. He has the DVDs and watches them all the time. I like how clever the writer was to make all the stories link into each other but must admit I do NOT like the blood and gore. I tend to watch from behind a cushion or underneath the duvet and then ask what happened afterwards!
I would have loved to take him to see Saw3D at the pictures but I really couldn't stomach it, it would have been a waste of money. Shame, I really don't do enough for my DH.
Jinty - hope everything went well today.
I have finally got another NSD so I'm up to NSD 3 now.
Would have been four but I took DH into town today as I wanted to get a dress for a party I'm going to. Didn't see anything I liked so consoled myself with a maccyDs. First one in about three or four years, it was loverly, well worth losing an NSD for.Life is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!

Thanks Kerri! Yeh I was leaning that way! I thought maybe half on cards and then dvd player and presents and whats left off the card as well!! I already know a couple of main presents for people so could get them out of the way!Just keep swimming0 -
NSD #6 for me today
D/Debit due out tomorrow, so need to check what shopping I need - especially as I've still not bought most of what I put money aside for on 1st November that I expected to need before tomorrowCheryl0
