Charity is nice but the "making you feel bad" approach is not right and you can't end up paying £1 to every single one.

I believe that you should give 1) if you can afford it and 2) if you believe in the charity (their cause, their work) and not because of the guilt trip.

For instance I give £10 a month to cancer research (ex smoker and I have people in my family who have suffered) however I am very often contemplating just stopping because I get rubbish by the post from them (expensive marketing paper to entice me to pay more -very annoying because I feel that the £10 is pointless).

errr.... not very impressive really, nicca, it's evidence of my previously spendthrifty ways:o:o:o. After all, if you had the number of clothes I have, most of them unworn, you wouldn't need any new ones either:o:o:o. Added to that, I now work from home, so don't need posh office clothes, and I have a huge stash of material and a good sewing machine so have made the few things I did need this year. A bit like this challenge, the clothes one has taught me to look before thinking about buying, so a lesson well learned, I reckon:D:D

Went as well as it could... well i knew the answers to all the questions so that was a good start :mad: to the fact that i won't here till this time next week tho!

Spent on a bottle of wine with a catch up with a friend who took some time off work to meet me after the interview & then did a Mr M shop on the way home, but definitely planning on spending nowt tomorrow.

Off to bed now shattered after a wide awake night worrying about the interview, hugs to anyone with the lurgy & see you all in the morning!!

Good morning everyone -

First off, well done on yet another NSD Spoon!:T
Have been up most of the night, really having problems sleeping ATM, will probably got back to bed later and hit myself over the head to try and get some shuteye!:(
Just checked OH's wages and it looks like he has not been paid for a lot of OT he did:mad: @ £150 short:mad: I was banking on that money this week, so I will have to juggle things around a bit. Any time he does any hours out of his usual routine, his payroll dept always screw up:mad: Not helped by the fact he's in London, so I cant even rant at him! Sorry guys, I know you wont mind me having a wee shout!:A

Not sure what I'm up to today, probably my bed with a HWB and my book!
OH home this evening,:j cant wait to see him, it's been a long week!
