  • I haven't taken up this offer as the house seems to be full of chocolate at the moment from offers and glitches but I used to be a tasting club member and I loved it. My introductory box was £5.99 then the next was £9.99 but that was five years ago lol.

The choclates are simply divine, there are very gourmet so you only need one or two at a time but they are delicious (accept the one that had sage white choc and a rose filling bleaugh lol)! By far the best chocolate's I have had. I had monthly boxes for three months and only cancelled as I was moving far away, new job/house/life etc

You just cancel after you receive the first box and paid. I found the website simple as the instructions are in the box and couldn't be simpler. If you ordered and then have just cancelled without receiving your box, you wont receive the box.

You may only NEED one or two at a time but in reality its quite easy to finish the box in one sitting (2 people). We're talking about chocolate here!

Hotel Chocolat is *very* mediocre, mass-produced chocolate.

I'm pretty sure they don't charge as much as £18 in the store either.....
  • Topcashback and quidco are doing refer a friend now so why not create a new account if you are not on both cashback sites and get the chocolate for free. £5 cashback plus refer a friend reward.

    http://www.quidco.com/referrals/

I did it last week for something else, got £3 and the other person got £2. It looks like it is £2.50 now for each friend - not sure if you both get it as they have changed the wording now but you could split it if it is with someone else.
I'm sure I went upstairs for some reason.

Says £6.95 on offer page, but if you click Terms and Conditions it says £9.95. Anyone paid yet - what's the charge?

    Hi

Saw this offer on the newsletter and thought it a good buy.

However, when I tried to put my details in it only wanted my credit card details. I suppose this is because it is a send you and you have to cancel otherwise we will charge you type of shop. However, after being stung by a company (not this one) which still took the money each month even after cancelling (as per the above 'offer')and then the ensuing haggle with the credit card company to sort it out, I am not sure I want to do this again.

As I said my dealings were not with this company so please do not assume I have any reason to doubt they are honourable.

Perhaps if other people have taken up this offer and have managed to successfully cancel their membership then it may put my and other people's minds at rest.

    Thanks

You have to login on the Taste club section of the website. Go to the "Products" drop down menu on the Hotel Chocolat page, click on Taste club and then follow the prompts to "manage my membership". Hope that helps...

NB: cant find anywhere to actually cancel membership here, but at least you can opt for 8 or 12 week delivery intervals which should bide you a bit of time...
