Are you kidding? the MP101 for £25???????? Which store?

They had two or three in Huddersfield Friday evening, I think they had just been put out, as they had sold out of the WiFi Net Cameras on Thursday and there were three more cameras out on display on Friday evening.

So it seems more stock may be in the pipeline, hopefully, so worth a second visit or more.

Dont forget to sign up for Business account points, I have a card and regularly get £2 off and double points vouchers each month with very little spend.
PS you dont need to be a business to get the card either.

Took me a few hours of fiddling and resetting my router to get this sorted but it works now :) have unlocked it using sipgate website and wonder what sort of cheap/free services are about - am off to voip/home phone forums:)

Edit: Settings of the netgear looks like you can only use one provider at a time. I.E. you can use sipgate and have 2 lines, but they both have to be sipgate. So you either use sipgate and can have 2 lines (2 different numbers or one phone and a fax with another number). Or use another provider with 2 accounts.

Hints: Once unlocked go into VOIP settings and you can do one of the following 2 things.

Block people who call you who do not provide caller id with the "Anonymous Incoming Call" option

Make calls connect faster by pressing the button indicated in "ATPM Action Key" (defaults to #) after dialing, or better still if you use a cordless phone where you hit in a number and the phone picks up then dials, set "Last-digit Timeout" to one second and the call will connect quicker.

Hi There! we have just recently gone voip with skype and it's fantastic. Living in Gib means i can call the relations for nothing if they have skype or for buttons if I call their landline. It's great as it is taking the money away from the big boys and might make them look at their call charges. Hope this helps.:j

You can call landlines cheaper if you use a proper VoIP service, Skype are one of the dearest VoIP providers along with tesco.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

All depends on how much you call.

If it's just odd calls here and there then Sipgate is still cheaper than Skype, plus with Sipgate you get a phone number for any area you wish for free and voicemail free if you wish to use it.

I use VoIP Stunt, as I make enough calls and not too many to make it worth it. (I was issued with an incoming number, however this group of companies aren't issuing numbers at the moment). (http://www.myvoipprovider.com/blogcategory/Betamax)

For some http://www.voip.co.uk/res_products.html suits them better. (Choice of area code).

Wayhey! Managed to get hold of the NetGear VOIP Router. I'm using it behind another ADSL router so it took me quite a bit of fiddling to setup, but its all done now and works perfectly, very pleased!

However, I was also after a 3Com Wireless router package but unfortunately my local store didnt have any on display

Is there a site that compares costs? There seem to be so many of them around.

I think it's best to look through the ones people point out as being "cheap" or "good" and look for what's right for you. For example if you simply want it to receive calls but make few calls, sipgate would be good as you can select your own local number (for example if you know someone who gets free/cheap local calls you can get a number local to them). If you want to call mobiles look for the cheapest mobile call cost and so on.
