Ok after a few comments on the OS Daily thread it's been suggested a Birmingham meet up for those that are interested.
with it being November next week it's thought that January might be a better option (and give us all something to look forward to than the January blues ;))

No dates or venues have been formalised as of yet. If it suits people better perhaps the end of the month is a good idea (after January pay day)? Anyway open to suggestions for dates and indeed venues.

If you could indicate your wish to attend it would be great to have a meet up :D

Agreed Date: SATURDAY 22ND JANUARY @ 1pm The Old Joint Stock pub Temple Row West (opposite B'ham Cathedral in St Phillips Place)

Provisional Attendees:
Me ;)
Taplady
JackieG
Gintotmelinda

Nic1lou2 (definate maybe ;))
Floss2

Dundeedoll

Bitsy - am glad you took all my hints;):p:D and started this thread!:j:T

count me in of course:) January is a good idea as there's usually such a lot going on now before Christmas. I'll probably be coming by train too as I dont like driving in a lot of traffic - unless Taplord decides to drive me, although a bunch of nattering women isn't his idea of a good time:D

Thank goodness you've replied.......was beginning to think I'd be stuck in a pub on my own like Billy-no-mates ;)

January might be a good time for me to take some time off from my family and home and join my Midlands OS friends! Looking forward to hearing more news - if booked in advance I can probably get cheap tickets and make it there and back in a day!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Just checked and if I book in advance with Virgin Trains I can get two singles for £7 each (I based this on a search for Saturday 8th Jaunary). So I am now really looking forward to a decision on the date!

  • Me too. I could get train tix for about £30 for that weekend, but the later weekends look about the same. I think I would stay overnight though, so I will look for a hotel deal too for the night. I will definitely be well, in ALL WAYS by January!

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Oooh it will be lovely to meet you Molly (and everyone else too :D)
