Have been looking around for a new TV of late and came across this offer from John Lewis.
I cant post links but if you search for "Sony Bravia KDL37EX403U John Lewis" it's the top result.
Seems like a lot of TV for the money, but my knowledge/understanding of the TV market is sparse to say the least!
I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on it? Good/bad TV? Good/bad price? Can you forsee any problems with claiming back the VAT?
Thanks

There should be no problems at all.
The VAT back is a nationwide Sony deal which also applies to other Sony products.

You can find about 20 customer reviews of the TV here

Edit: Reading > Me
I sell these day in day out at work, brilliant telly for the money and lots of extras if you chose to use them (wifi dongle adds things like iplayer and what not or if its by your router you can wire up for more reliable connection)0 -
I went to John Lewis' to get one of these last night and found that they have been insructed by Sony to put their prices up, they were originally £449.95 but have been put up to £521.95, + £72, the VAT you could claim back on the original £449.95 was £67, I guess they added a £5 admin fee to cover costs.0

This vat back is yet another gimmick to con the public.
I bought the Sony 40ex503 from JLP over three weeks ago for £599-95.
This has now gone up to £674-95 since the vat back offer started two days ago.

I don`t blame JLP who are one of the better retailers.
Sony are making them raise the prices to cover the vat back.0 -

Then buy from Amazon where the price is £449.95 (at Lunchtime on 30/10/2010)

Sony specifically list Amazon as an online retailer participating in the offer
