And you can also sign up to the Christmas Events email bulletin on this page as well - http://www.swansea.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=14285
As for the City Centre, well things can only get better0 -

I'm moving down to Swansea next week as i'm now working in the centre and I gotta say, its a beautiful town, until you meet its inhabitants!
What a bunch of mutants, at least the majority. Go into town any lunch time and play spot the single mum and count the chav's! Its full of them.
I think its in dire need of a gentrification project. Flush the muck out and get some tidy people in (like me) The high streets desparately need a face lift. Thank goodness i'm moving down the Marina away from the riff raff!

You have to laugh at the last few comments. It amazes me when people have a pop at Swansea, the rubbish they come out with.
We are sorry that Swansea isn't as nice as the valleys, with their mass unemployment and slag heaps.
A city on a picturesque bay, along side Britain's first protected area of natural beauty......it's enough to make you sick.....not a closed down coal mine in site.0 -

I'd love to know where you lived previously that was so utopian, but Swansea people are certainly no worse than I've encountered anywhere else. I'm not from Swansea and although I work there I don't live there, but the people I've worked with in the 13 years I've been there are certainly preferable to the people I previously worked with in my "home town". Yes there are some bad people in Swansea - just sit in the Court for a morning - but the vast majority are very friendly and hilariously funny!
Jxx
PS: Poppy, you're so right about the marina - someone's in for a shock if they think moving there is getting away from the "chav scum"! Mwaaaaahahahahaha. And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
I'm living in the posh part of the marina 'dahlings' so all is well! Chav free!
Of course my comments are in jest, so dont take offence all you haters! It just gets on my nerves when you walk through town and the majority of people are decent hard working folk who are out on their lunch breaks, but the rest are wearing their hoodies and what can only be described as pyjamas with baseball caps (note - chavs) when are in town only to see what they can nick from boots! and i know, cos i work in the police station!
Its the same situation as most parts of Britain at the moment, but working where i do and dealing with who i deal with, i probably encounter a greater deal more scum than the rest of you, and its angers me! Swansea has its beautiful parts, but i can tell you this, Swansea town centre is not one of them!!0
