Well fortunately or unfortunately the gluten free food fayre was very good and I am now £27 shorter in my purse! It was free to get in however & I did also get quite a few freebies. The range of food available was great, far better than anything I have seen in supermarkets. I am a bit concerned though that my DS won't even like some of the things such as pork pie & quiche lorraine both of which he has never even tried before! Unfortunately he is out with his Dad so I wasn't even able to take him with me so he could try the samples. That reminds me - we are going out for a family lunch tomorrow - must remember to take his Bisto Best gravy granules with me!Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0

Hello! ...
eta how do we put this stuff on our tickers?
Hi mum2b,
Do you mean the signature? If so then Click the 'Quick Links' arrow on the second green band above. A menu will drop down and you should click 'Edit Signature' then you'll be taken to a window not unlike the post window where you can input what you want (within character limits). Hope that helps.
Well done everyone for October. Still some fantastic results coming in. :T:T:T
Welcome to the many newbies joining us. :hello:
I meant to update my sig before I wrote this then forgot.I'll do it in a minute.
We've only spent £11.00 across yesterday and today. Mind you would have been more but I'm poorly and so have had to call off our friends coming round for what is our favourite celebration of the year, Halloween.Upset tummy, headache, temperature and a full head, yuk.
The sig will show £17.50 because of the £6.50 for wash liquid and conditioner bought in September but allocated across the three months.
FlatEric you are so right! :T
Right, I'll probably have a bit of a read around the site and then I'm off to my bed. Have to be better for work on Monday so I'm gonna try and sleep it off.
Happy Halloween everyone, enjoy!
Take care,

How bad do things have to be if we consider cheese a luxury item
& not anything posh just bog standard mature cheddar
I agree! In our house we chop cheese into 50g blocks and freeze! Cheese is a luxury we cannot afford, and we use use it sparingly!!
My Husband and I were just discussing how bad things are when you consider cheese too expensive to buy, and have to make cheesless meals!!!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -

Please could you put me down for £180 for November, Mrs MC?
That's for two adults and two children (aged 12 & 7). It's £40 lower than last month's budget but I'm going to need extra for Christmas prezzies so will try very hard to use up lots of storecupboard and freezer items.DFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt

Please can you put me down for £350 again for November?
I've already spent about £27 in Sainsburys today and have my Mr T shop to do.....The 2012 mantra - "A place for everything, and everything in it's place"0 -
Spent £10.09 in Aldi and got loads - two big bags full - got 2 butternut squashes, leeks, apples, lemons, potatoes, yoghurt, flour, rich tea biscuits, jam (their nice "conserve"), Emmenthal cheese, toffees and caster sugar.
Then I went to the local butcher and got two pork chops, some dry cured bacon, a chicken breast and some cottage cheese and it was £12:eek: Won't be going there again!
Still need to go to tescos as I have a spend and save which runs out tonight.
Made a lovely tea - stuffed butternut squash - I just split and scooped out the seeds of a BNS and then drizzled with oil and roasted for about 45 minutes. Then I scooped out the flesh and mixed it with a little bit of the emmenthal cheese and 2 chopped leeks and 4 rashers of chopped bacon (which I had cooked together in a dry pan), salt and pepper. I put it all back in the shells and then topped with some breadcrumbs and a bit more grated cheese and cooked for about 20 minutes until it was crunchy on top. I did it with pork chops but to be honest it was hearty enough for a main meal - we are stuffed and there is some leftover!
Once I have been to tescos I will do my meal plan for the week.
Hope you are all having a good evening and no bother from the mischief night kids!Jane
