Hello all, may I join for my first Grocery Challenge? I would like to set mine at £300 for November please.
Good luck everyone0 -
Last month I put £200 into a small purse and only bought food out of that purse, apart from 2 takeaways.
So I will do that again this month, starting next saturday..payday.0 -
I have done my first proper meal plan!!!!! A whole month's worth! feeling very pleased with myself. As far as main meals go, that isn't as much of a problem for me. It's the lunchbox things and snacks that are the bigger spend for me as I cook most things from scratch.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

I'm the same....I have specific weekly spends for DS lunchbox including satsumas, apples, frubes, cocopop bars, pancakes and his cheese sandwiches...the rest of the meals I make ffrom scratch too.2024 Challenges- Grocery Budget (January £0/£300)

I would like to declare £130-33 for October. Please put me down for £150 for November. I've still got some meals in the freezer so planning to get through most of what's in there during November. I have been affected by the government's spending review so will need to tighten my belt even more to keep what I have. Got an £8000 loan to attempt to get rid of by next august, when my salary may drop.
Good luck to all during November
Mongy

Just back from Mr T and managed to spend £44.80 - just sneaking in under my £45 a week target:rotfl:
That did include some toiletries for OH (which I won't see the money for no doubt ) but the rest was food, dog food and household stuff.
I have done a meal plan for the week and have everything we need so fingers crossed I won't need anything else - if anyone else wants anything they can get it themselves! (Can you tell I'm in a mood)

Can I join in again, have just updated on Octobers thread, thanks.
Can you put me down for £260 for Nov.Save £4500 in 20140 -
First spend added to siggy for November, we popped to MrA for a few things and didn`t do too badly £16.64 spent so far. Dh is going to pay a visit to MrM later whilst i`m at work so i`ll update again when i`ve got my hands on the reciept.
In MrA there were the extra special sausages on offer at £2 for 15 sausages, they are 80% pork too so worth a look.
We also bought a couple of bottles of the Hobgoblin beer whilst it was on offer for £1, we will be going to a local bonfire which has a bar on but rather than buy a drink whilst we are there we shall take one up with us.
We usually stay about an hour and then walk back home so another bit of money saving there.
Flat Eric - I`m in complete agreement with you re the sm offers, i only buy them these days if its something that stores well eg soap powder. Its all a ploy to make us spend more and i love it when i walk out with just what is on my list. I often have a little smirk to myself whilst going out through the doors
Quite often the offers aren`t really offers at all IYKWIM.
Welcome to all the new peeps joining us this month, always nice to see new faces and make new friends
Catch up later.
