Didn't really need to shop yesterday but stocked up on bread due to snow - ended up spending about £35 on other stuff too. So final amount spent for Nov = £423
Doing this challenge has really made me think about what I am spending - and I hoped I could spend less than I did and purposely set the target high, but ended up spending more!
My DS is doing Christmas so should be able to keep under budget for food for Dec. Here's hoping.
    £2012 in 2012 = £34.44

    Hello All,

I was about to update last night but I had a friend arrive so never got around to it.

Bravo and well done to everyone completing the challenge this month! :T:T:T

Well, OH didn't go shopping after all and made dinners from what we had in. So I'm declaring November at £231.77 please MrsMcCawber. This is under budget by £18.23 but if I hadn't increased the budget it would have been £8.23 under. So not too bad.

The real success for November was getting my NSD total back up managing 21 days! :T I'm really pleased about that.

Ok, will be posting over in December thread now but will still look for any new postings on here.

    Tale care,

Hello there, I would like to declare at a very poor £273.09/£300 which is a bit of a disappointment to say the least. Perhaps it was unrealistic with christmas approaching and i have been squirreling bits away for that.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

Declaring at £45.92 out of £50.00 for November.

I spent 60p on Monday on bread rolls for lunches.

I met my sister after work last night and we went to Tesco and Asda and found some good bargains! Got a huge box of cherry tomatoes reduced to 89p which we split between us and also an iceberg lettuce for 21p at Tesco.

Then at Asda I got a big bag of pasta and some spaghetti as have run out of both. Also got shaving foam, satsumas, yogurts and Pringles (new flavour, I have to try them). Bargains were a pack of potato farls reduced to 27p, a packet of 6 bread rolls for 22p and 6 fingers rolls for 18p, all of which are in the freezer.

I'll hop over to the December thread now and post there. I'm a little behind at the moment.

Still need to tot up my spends from the last 3 weeks - must get it done tonight so that I can figure out how I've done

(Also need to try and come up with a budget for December - especially as I started spending it today ;))

Saw my 'regular lady' at work today - was getting worried 'cos i sometimes see her on a Monday (but normally on a Tuesday) as well as at the back-end of the week, but hadn't seen her this week (though I was aware she could have come in at a non-standard time meaning I'd missed her while on lunch or on a break). She was with a chap around my age who it turns out lives around the corner from her, and she's obviously comfortable asking him for help sometimes as she'd asked him for a lift down and back so she could stock up on some stuff (she wouldn't be able to carry it between the store and bus stop or bus stop and home). She'd asked yesterday but he didn't have the time until today, and I got the impression he won't want to be driving if the snow gets bad (we don't have much at the moment, but once you're off the 'A' roads it gets nasty to drive on).

Asked how far from the store she lives and it's within walking distance for me and the dog (a return trip from home would be about his normal walk) which I mentioned. I then gave her my mobile number and told her that if she gets really stuck she's to call me - and that I'll call her straight back for her list once I grab pen and paper as I have free minutes on my package. The chap seemed surprised (but also slightly relieved) I'd made the offer, and I thought she was going to cry.... just as well there wasn't a manager around, as she gave me a hug and a kiss on my cheek (a big 'no-no' when in uniform!)

hi all, I'm declaring at £96.75 for November. Really pleased as I have bought a few xmas nibbles and treats and thought I would have been way over !

Snowing quite heavy here this morning so I doubt very much if I will be able to get to work again today. Got all the way there yesterday took 2 hours had to be dug out twice to find it all locked up and no-one had a key so I had to go back home. Couldn't believe it !

See you on the December thread :rudolf:
  • Hi all. Not been able to post -I don't think my computer likes the snow.

Declaring at £280.12 for November. Very happy with that as I thought half way through month we would struggle.

    Well done everybody!:T
