Declaring total for November £167.47.
Very pleased as that was a low budget for me this month (clearing out freezer) and I was still £12.53 under budget. :jDFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt
August GC £0/£3000 -
Declaring for November at a gob smacking £496.39 , a mere £196.40 over budget
I haven't looked at my receipts in detail but know shopping in m&$ was a big mistake. Also not meal planning at the beginning of the month and walking round the supermarkets *finding stuff* to buy. I know its xmas this month but I will not be spending £500 again. I simply can't afford it.
my aim for December is to use up what I have and to meal plan.
I managed a NSD day today :jwas tempted to stop off at Mr t and buy doughnuts for the office on my way into work (but resisted) and although sorely tempted, resisted the lure of a pub lunch. also managed to avoid the supermarket on the way home. look forward to seeing you all on the December thread. :j
thank you for all your helpful and supportive/informative posts0 -
I won't be spending any money on food tomorrow so I'm declaring £97.01 for November!!!! My first attempt UNDER budget. I know it's only just under but I see it as an achievement nonetheless! :j
Now for December - wonder if I'll manage that :rotfl:
I don't need to spend much at the start of the month, so it will really be Christmas spends TBHGrocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300

Well done Nick :T - under budget is under budget - it doesn't matter by how much
Spent 60p on my Granary loaf and £1 on some eggs, bringing my total to.....£274.71 out of £275, which leaves me with a mighty 29p :rotfl:
I'm really not sure I can make my milk last all of tomorrow......oooh! ooooh! I've had a thought.......maybe, I'll make up a couple of pints of dried skimmed milk and add that to my fresh semi before it gets too low, so that it's not too noticable :shhh: That way, I'll be able to come in under budgetas I don't think I need anything else until Wednesday.

Well done Nick :j- even if I was 1p under budget I would consider it an achievement! The way I look on it - if I wasnt doing this I would be way over AND wasting so much ( that's what I did in a previous life)Hiya guys just wondering what you suggest i said £400 for November and at the moment I am up to £407 also quoted that i bought baileys and chocs for mum and a large persil for £6 before the offer finished so i could take £20 off but should i or should i declare over my budget ? suggestions please still quite pleased with 7 pounds over for my first attempt although will need bread tomorrow so will be another £2 for that.

If it's any help, personally I would just declare at your £7 over. Youve done really well on your first attempt, at least now you know how much youre spending and where it's going so you can make adjustments next month if necessary. Hope this makes sense! See you in Dec!
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
