Mine took few hours but works fine, maybe not up to current red tape standards.

Can't be a HETAS installation. They'd have made her fit an air brick. And charged her several million rupees for the privilege.

Well here goes... It has taken longer to find out how to post a picture than fit the stove!

The logs in the pic were just stored whilst OH was getting log basket!

Clearview pioneer stove, Granite hearth from previous open fire, lime rendered fire back then limewashed with 12 light coats so far. Rite vent 150mm 904 liner, insulated with mica. CO alarm & signed off by building control. (prior to fitting skirting).

Here is my installation, constructive criticism welcome. I did everything myself apart from removing the gas fireplace and the sweep :)

Think the thread was about crphillips ripping a hole in certain peoples home installs

But lovely work there. Remind me of when we done our fireplace in our last home, hard messy work but so worth it

    The dualit is great ;)

Cheers Suki, yer I did figure that but thought I'd put up for critique anyway! Your right, it's not a stove but everything all in inc materials and fireplace, granite hearth etc cost me about £300! :)

you were lucky with the granite. We tried to get a slab here cheap and like nothing under 300 quid was forthcoming - so hubby made a hearth with ply and tiles
