Motorola SLVR black. White SEL, spent £40 on other goods and took all to the self scan till. Put the other stuff through first inc 4 bingo tins at 61p a go! Scanned the phones display case and it said please wait for assistance. So along came the self scan operator and typed in her pin. I saw flash up on the screen and it said something along the lines of "you have bought a tesco mobile that could qualify for a discount" I thought I was doomed at this point but for some reason she pressed no discount! Woohooo! Went to CS, collected the phone and then went back in and said I think I have been overcharged. R&R with a smile and apology

I suspect that there are actually quite a few like that !, worth checking these if anyone has time?

Posted before and I am really surprised that a lot of you haven't posted success ?, I have had a field day with mobiles over the last 48 hours !!

Ok

Motorola SLVR black £74.97 as mentioned before, it is a "reduced to clear phone "and as such it isn't in the 20:40 promotion (£20 off when you spend £40) however, a lot of stores have these on a plain white SEL with no indication that it anything other than an eligable phone........clear r&r...result !

ok if its on a yellow reduced to clear- chance it, I have with great success, most CS or managers don't realise the t&c's- worst case scenerio - you return the phone refund.

Other mobiles

Having brilliant success with Motorola PEBL'S (Tesco Mobile) and Nokia 6111 (also Tesco Mobile) both on white SELS anmd not prompting the checkout operator to take off discount- fantastic phones, you just need to get them

worst case scenario is you get a streetwise checkout dude and he notices, if that's the case do what I did on one occassion - walk straight to CS and ask for refund before collection (very easy for me) you may find that they do say for you as they did for me

refund you the full price of the phone, i.e. if you pay £99 and the with £20 discount you should only get £79, but most seem to have a blindness to looking further down the receipt.

I never use the self scanners anymore- why ?- because CS come up with the excuse of "oh well you used a self scanner, you should have realised when you scanned the items in" let the checkout operator make the mistake, then its Tesco's mistake all the way along the line.

remember you can go now before they close and get your refund in the morning

saw a Lexmark P4350 All In One Printer with £20 or £30 off cant remember which one. Had an out of date SEL (31/10) instead of £99 but they didnt have any in stock so couldnt scan it. might be worth looking out for

Scans at £69 no r&r

spotted bacardi breezers 2 for £7 sel out of date
and quality street in the jars 2 for £10 sel out of date
but both went through till and the discounts came off ... guttted !!!!!
decided to keep the drinks but return the chocs....
cs gave back £14.50 for the chocs !!!!! lol !!!!!
still came away happy

also noticed sel out of date on tesco mulled wine £1 off, but didnt get it, wasnt my local shop so i didnt know where the scanner was... i will check it today in my one !!! and let you all know later !!
