Dumf@ckistan representative tried all evasion tactics:
1. Product is displayed in wrong box (box says £18, SEL says £20).
I pointed out adjacent products in £15, £10 and £4 boxes all matching their SEL's............boxes seem correct don't you think !
2. Refunded me £4, £2 for 2 of the products 'bulk buy' policy meant no refund of difference due on third product. Pointed out that logically any alleged 'bulk buy' policy should be/would be applied at the point of sale, not afterwards.
Therefore if Tesco's have agreed to sell me 3 of a product all 3 must be covered by Tesco's policy. Plus how did he explain Tesco encouraging customers to buy 6 bottles of Champagne by offering a 5% discount ?
3. Then tried to give me £6 refund of difference, pointed out that when I had been overcharged previously I was given a full refund and I kept the product !
Dumbf@ckistan representative then unconditionally surrendered and gave me £60 refund.
Asked him whether what he had just done i.e. R&R was correct and still Tesco company policy to which he answered YES.
After being robbed by Tesco for many years through illegal overcharging the 'boot is now on the other foot', I will continue to R&R them at every opportunity, again and again and again.
A far as I am concerned the USA has been replaced by Tesco as the 'Great Satan' we all fight against.
NB: And of course there is no official Tesco HO or Store policy to offer customers just the difference on overcharges to try and get away with it.
tbh i think your going to far. Insulting tesco staff "Dumf@ckistan representative". Threating to 'continue to R&R them at every opportunity'. 'USA has been replaced by Tesco as the 'Great Satan', are you seriously telling me you'd rather see a Russian, American or Eastern European company taking your money, investing your money back their own country, with absolutely no benefit to you? Tesco may overprice occasionally, but look at Asda (Parent Company Wal-Mart e.g. all profits from asda go back to USA) who treat their own staff like a piece of !!!!!! and TELL suppliers how much they are going to pay. "After being robbed by tesco for many years" - if i remember rightly tesco introduced the policy to draw customers to look for misprices. If you actually wanted to help a British company, you would point it out at the checkout and get it at the reduced price, rather than pay for it, stand at the checkout for 5 minutes then go to the customer service desk for a full refund - think about it. Tesco loses that the value of the product with which has been refunded under the policy. Instead of keeping that and incurring a small loss on that they are going to raise the price legally of something - e.g. similar product to account for that loss, resulting in higher prices accross the store.
Oh Yeah, and of that 1.1billion profit. They pay taxes. Which go towards YOUR NHS, YOUR ROADS, YOUR ENVIRONMENT, YOUR STREET.
