As long as you have the number you should be ok. It's a bit hit and miss though and some people have had to ring three or four times before they get offered the discount. If you have got a few hours to spare read this..........

when I rang orange they told me you had to have been a PAYG customer for 3 months to get the discount.... they just asked for your phone number, I assume that's how they judge if you're eligible. couldnt find mine though. dont think I ever registered it
I'll try to get an NHS discount in store, but whenever I try to ring a local store noone picks up (too bust selling san frans I suspect)0
