That's good Abba, as long as you are not over stretching yourself x
The wee one is slotting right into what I already work and I would drop him off at his little brother nursery as I walk past this nursery at 12.45pm when I'm taking my other mindee to a different nursery so slots in perfectly and it's only until August.
    That's good then  :)

    morning

I'm soooooooooooooooo tired last two days i've had no energy I'm telling you all now I'm going to my bed at 9pm tonight don't care if hubby stays up lol

Did my cross trainer session this morning will do my online gym workout tonight after work.  Shoulder feels a bit tender need to keep an eye on that.

    Savings still creeping up

Oh yeah Mortgage Offer is on its way from the halifax thank goodness that's something else sorted.  will be chasing the postman lol xx

Need to go to my grans and go through some of her clothes and get some packed up ready to go to the care home.  She seems to have settled in quite nicely she likes watching the baby bunnies round about outside her window, get to see her on the 13th can't wait.

Managed to get all her paperwork filled out for social services so need to wait and see how much the care home charges and how much the social work are willing to pay.  Still decluttering her house slowly but surely as managed to get a tip run done at the weekend.

wee one still sleeping lucky wee thing plan is to have a chill day as it's freezing here quite literally, got a few bits of paperwork to get printed out but can do that later.

Hello abba1772.   Your story of gran takes me back nearly 5 years when my mother was diagnosed with dementia.  People with dementia certainly do act very strangely.  My mom had puemonia and never recovered.
I remember the council paying moms care home fees until I sold her house.  My mom is now self funding as she had a house and a certain amount of savings , so the house had to be sold .
It is a bit like looking after a small child eg I have to sew name tags on all her clothes, still have to buy toiletries for her.  Also pay for hairdressing and chiropody.
It made me think it is not worth owning a house and having a lot of savings.

If you need to pm me then please do.  My mom is nearly at year five after her diagnosis - she has lost the ability to walk now and cannot remember she owned a house.    I am an only one with one dd.  So had to do everything on my own.

Aww bless you thank you so much for sharing your journey it’s greatly appreciated

you’re absolutely right it is like looking after a child, I’ve been told to label all her clothes before I hand them into the home

tbh house prices aren’t high here I reckon her house is worth between 60 and 70 thousand so that’s not going to last long then the council will need to step up I guess as I don’t have the money to fund it

it certainly makes you think about the future as I bought my house to secure my kids future when I’m gone but no doubt I be stubborn like my grandmother

I’m eldest of three, my mum is out the picture her loss but it leaves everything on my shoulders not that she would have my grans back.

I’m sorry to hear about your mum losing her ability to walk it’s heart breaking seeing those who have raised us becoming a shadow of themselves xx
