That all sounds like a nightmare. Hope you can get it all sorted and get a new place filled soon too x"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Morning
Was soooooo busy yesterday even for me however I got to see my gran at her new nursing home she looked delighted to see me which I'm so thankful for. I dropped some of her personal effects like picture frames with all of us in them, some perfumes her blanket etc. The care home let me see her as it was her birthday yesterday as well so we bought her a couple of mini potted plants, a couple of boxes of chocolates, and I got her so new crushed velvet pyjamas. Spoke to her for about a hour, told her about the snapped wheel off my buggy and she remembered I did this a few months ago to my smaller buggy..............so pleased she remembered.
I spoke to her about the gifting of the money to me and my siblings, she told me if the house has to be sold then i have her permission to make sure we have something so I sent the money over to my siblings this morning and told them to spend it on themselves as this is what gran would have wanted. I've put mine in my home improvement fund.
Here's my breakdown for what needs to be saved for
Render Fund £5000
Rewiring Fund £3400
Remortgage Diff £1000
Plastering £520
Loft Hatch £250
Total: £10170
Wow that's a lot of pennies, So far I have £9000 so only £1170 to go.
Would feel great if I can get this all paid for and not reply on credit. However If I want my driveway and front garden done this year we might need to get a 0% deal on a credit card but I'm ok with that. Will wait and see how we get one with that one as haven't even got quotes in for that.
Hubby's work contacted the mortgage advisor and explained why she put 35 hours and not 40 as she was basing it off the HMRC software she uses and there is no category for those work work 40 plus hours just 35 hours, anyway she's sent a email and filled out another form so hopefully the underwriters will see sense and let us remortgage now that his employer has explained herself. We should hear something on Thursday when the mortgage advisor is back at work.
Today I plan on tidying up the back garden and getting my foldable table cleaned and put up for sale as I no longer need it will put this money towards the savings. Then after the nursery drop off I need to go to Tesco to get Easter eggs for my childminding kids as I have a £16 voucher and then to homebargains as Abbie wants blank canvas's instead of a Easter egg.
Already done my cross trainer workout today so only have my gym online class later on today arms are aching after two weight sessions as didn't do any last week due to my arm killing me from my vaccine xxNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.054 -
Glad your gran seems to be setting in. What a blooming faff with hubby’s wages 😩 Fingers crossed you’ll get your re-mortgage now. Well done with the home improvements savings 🥳 Could the drive and front garden wait until next year?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

I must admit I was like that when we had the new windows recently which have shown up the pointing and fascias. They will have to wait though as we’re having the bedroom refurbished next. It’s never ending.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

morning
It's freezing here minus 2 actually when I woke up
I've done my 35 minute cross trainer session and will do my online gym class tonight when I've finished work.
Wee one is sleeping so I'm making the most of it have a wash on the line and another one in the washing machine making the most of the yellow thing in the sky hehe
Good news so far from the mortgage advisor they've accepted hubby's new forms his boss filled out so the remortgage is back on its now in the hands of the underwriters so fingers legs everything is crossed. Hopefully hear something by next week. Only snag is that they've asked if we can clear hubby's credit card............................yeah you can imagine the mood yesterday was fizzing and as usual hubby blaming everyone but him self so you know he got a reality check from me yesterday. So my savings will be taking a £1200 hit, one step forward and 40 back right now but at least I have the money sitting there for it to be cleared. I've told him he's not getting his credit card back I've had enough of bailing him out.
Today I have a meeting hopefully with a couple for their little boy, its for 2 days a week, its organised by the council so guaranteed payment and I've filled 3 days after school which starts after the school holidays so I'll only be £42.50 a week short from my biggest earner giving notice and I have someone wanting my remaining after school places until August so I'll hopefully break even and best bit is I'll finish at 5pm and not 6pm now so got to take it as a positive.
Today's the kids last day with me today god know what time I finish no doubt they'll not get picked up at the last minute. Will let them decide what we get up to today within reason of course xxNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.054 -
You’ve every right to be annoyed with your hubby, all that hard work paying the card off then he goes and builds it back up again.I hope you get the places filled to cover the ones leaving. Also hope the re-mortgage finally gets sorted.
These things are sent to try us, some of us more often than others.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Just caught up Abba,
What a rollercoaster but so pleased that the mortgage is back on, your Gran has remembered a few bits and you got to see her and an amazing amount saved up already.
Great news about filling the place from the child that has given notice as well. Gaining an extra hour is definitely a positive and hopefully you'll make up the other £42 in other ways.
Have a lovely weekend. I hope you have some nice relaxing planned!September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
