No chance.......maybe Sunday will be a rest day

had another quote for the rendering seen a company doing a house up just down the road from me

they’ve quoted me £5317 valid for 1 year, discounted prices of £4786 is for late June/July installation as they are doing two houses in my street then so need to speak to hubby and show him the house that I saw getting rerendered.  This price includes the garage as well.

means I have £234 spare I already had £5k put by

still waiting on a couple of people to get back to me but I seem to have the opinion some contractors just don’t want the work

I agree with you Abba, but it would be nice if they would just say they don't want it rather than promising to contact and ignoring it!  I hope you have some luck with this one.

    morning

So me and hubby have decided  we are going ahead with the re-rendering quote and we will look to get the rewiring and the plastering at the same time so house will take a hit but it'll all get done at the same time, means I need to take a week off but so be it it needs done.  Also My best friend is going to help hubby make a false wall so we can get the tv on the wall and get a new fancy fire come June/July time.

need to measure the little wall the has our back gate in it as forgot to inform the re-rendering company of it as you can't see it from google maps lol so will get that done later on hopefully it doesn't add too much to the price.

Bought my fence paint B&Q wanted £18 a tin and I needed 4 seen the range had it for £10.99 plus they sell white wood paint as well which I need to my teepee.  so I'm prepared for when the nice weather comes in.

Had to send my new mindee home as he came t my setting with a cough so all the toys that he touched are in the sink with disinfectant and I've wiped down everything he touched and sprayed the air with Dettol spray which stinks but better safe than sorry.  Have advised the council who have asked that I get confirmation of the test results.  feel guilty but need to protect my own family mum and dad were great bless them.

I am on hold to my old mortgage provider to get a outstanding balance come the 30th April so I know how much difference I need to pay.   I estimated £990 so we shall see anything less will be a bonus.  MORTGAGE PROVIDER HAS CONFIRMED THAT I WILL NEED TO PAY £837.68 so I'm saving £152.32 roughly woo hoo more savings

Plans for today after I've finished work is to drop off hubby's amazon return to the post office, nip up to my grans and get some clothes organised for her and also need to put her name in them, I have the power of attorney paperwork printed off for them as well and tonight I will be going through her photos and making her a memory book and I need to remember to pick up a box of after 8 mints for her as I promised her last time I saw her.

It's still freezing in the shade here but the sun is fairly warm so making the most of it and getting the washings done hoping it doesn't snow

That's brilliant news about the mortgage, and great to get all the work done at once.

    Afternoon

emailed the Halifax advisor and confirmed we will be accepting the mortgage offer but I need to clear hubby’s credit card which has £1200 on it.  Will do that this week.

the company who have gave us a quote for the rendering have came back and said it’s now £5200 but this includes the wall I forgot about and the smooth rendering at the bottom of the property so I’ve asked them to go ahead and get us booked in.

Once I’ve got an official week in July I’ll be contacting the electrician and plasterer to get them booked in too

ive got someone coming to give me a quote to restore the cast iron pipes and repaint them as well as fitting new fascia boards ........it’s all go

So I need to keep saving like I have been.  Will stop the saving come the first week of July.

Going to see my gran today so once my sleeping mindee gets picked up at three I’ll get my workout done and then get her stuff ready for hubby coming home as I need to be at the home for 5.30pm take a COVID test then my visit time is 6pm ........I’ve been to the shop and bought her her after 8 mints as requested.

The house will be so much better once it is all done and I think getting it all done together is done and dusted rather than bits and pieces.

Great news on the mortgage too. How is your gran settling in? x

Seen her yesterday spent 3 hours with her, was a bit stand offish to begin with as she didn't believe it was me but after about 30 minutes she was chatting away with me and was delighted that I brought her more clothes lol she has more clothes than primark this woman lol.

She seems to be doing ok she wants to come home but its not safe for her to be home by her own anymore.

    Afternoon

its lunch time here wee one watching scooby doo whilst eating his lunch hoping it distracts him as for 8 weeks now he’s been making himself sick whilst eating actually dread a Thursday now tbh but so far so good

college paid me yesterday thank goodness transferred straightaway to the savings will need to transfer it over tonight back into my normal account as need to transfer the money over to hubby so he can pay off the credit card.

Crunched some numbers and even with this blip I’ll be ok to get my house all sorted on the outside.

did the food shopping mammoth food shopping, chest freezer is full to the brim as is my cupboards and fridge freezer so hopefully this will last us 6 weeks.  Budget was £320 and we spent £310 so I’m happy with that.

did my cross trainer workout this morning grabbed a shower and got a ironing pile out the way before I started work.

Have also listed two bits on eBay as got a £1 final fee thing, never brother with eBay but these items need to be seen by a wider audience

taking a walk to b&q after lunch let the wee one look at the pretty flowers and I need to grab a fence paint brush and have a look at their paint for the eldest new room, just trying to get organised for when it all gets done.

got someone coming round to buy a halogen heater I had on gumtree so need to remember to bring it downstairs.  They are coming at 4pm
