    morning

Savings took a hit over the week end, we noticed abbie little car we got for free had lowered on one side, the springs had snapped so hubby checked it over and calculated the parts but it was too costly so we seen a mini with low mileage being sold for £750 hubby managed to haggle them down to £450, he sold some equipment from his garage so I stumped up £350 then we sold the broken car to a breakage and got £80 for it so her little car cost me £280 which isn't too bad.  Plus hubby took off the alloys from the mini and has put them up for sale, someone is trying to organise collect of these but the mini needs break disc and pads all round so I've told him whatever he gets for the alloys can be put towards the new parts.  Abbie is delighted with her car so plan is to get the breaks fixed get it through it MOT and insure the car so we can get her out practicing her driving as this is the third time her lessons have had to stop.  She would have been driving by now if it wasn't for this stupid lockdown.

Don't worry I've been number crunching this morning and I should be able to get back up to the £5k mark by the weekend woo hoo.  Plus I'm expecting my Avon delivery this week so that's another £100 to be flung towards it next week

I have been up did 30 minutes on my cross-trainer whilst my early morning mindee was snoring away this morning then everyone got up at 8am ready to get KK to school this morning who went into the playground before school start which he has never done before so this was a huge step for him as he normally stand with me outside the fence until he sees the teacher.  So proud of him.

I have also managed to get a washing on the line and another one in the machine to go out to take advantage of the nice weather.

right off to make snacks have a lovely day guys xx

morning, kids are having their snacks so I'm on here doing my banking

Sent £3.02 towards the savings need to watch the pennies this week as mortgage is due out on Monday.

What a miserable day today dreading the nursery run in this weather.

Done my 30 minutes on the cross-trainer this morning when everyone was sleeping, hubby looked at me if I was crazy as I just finished my workout when he got up for work lol...................will do my gym workout after work this evening I'm determined to lose 13 pounds' by July  not that I'm going anywhere this year, we aren't going on holiday this year I reckon.  If come October we might try and get away for a week for the October break but right now we have made peace that there are no holidays this year.

have sent more paperwork off to the mortgage advisor so far everything is going okish.........because hubby's wages slips are handwritten they need to track down his employers and confirm he is infact employed by them.  It's never easy is it lol my wages have been confirmed by the underwriters so hopefully it's all ok

Have the remortgage paperwork from the banks lawyers to get filled out need to get two witnesses but I'm not sure how this should be filled out need to give them a call.  Hopefully I can ask my lovely neighbours to sign it as it can't be family.  also need to check if my life insurance has critical life cover as the quote we got from the bank was £12 dearer that what we pay already.

Great bargain on Abbie’s car 👍 I’m not booking a holiday until you don’t have to quarantine on the way back. If it’s not until next year so be it.

  • Brilliant news on Abbies car sounds wonderful, your such a lovely mum I bet she's thrilled. I've had 4 driving tests cancelled due to lockdown! So I understand the frustration.
There is a huge backlog on tests in uk so I would book a test date on DVLA  if you can now, so let's say you think it will be x months before she's ready then book it, I don't know what it's like your way but it's July earliest round here. If not ready for the date you booked you can move it/change it 8 times without charge. Its about £60.
