Well done on the survey, they are seriously winding me up at the moment. I must have tried about 5 this afternoon and spent about 5 minutes on each before been told that I wasn't suitable.
Its certainly the hardest tenner I've ever had to earn :rotfl:0 -
Oh I hate that but at least you'll appreciate it when you finally get your tenner lol x
worked out that i'll be into my overdraft on monday by £20 as i needed gas and electricity but it's no biggie as i get money on the tuesday so i'm not beating myself up about it x at least i'm warm and have light :rotfl:NEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -

Of course i don't mind the more the merrier. It helps a lot that the kids don't ask for much as they know if i can get it for them i usually do and they're 8 and 4 so they are really good kids which makes it half the battle i guess x

I've got 3 kids, Eldest is 12 ,younger ones are 1 & 2 years...so i have the expense of the 12 yr old constantly asking for things ( i do say no! but he's persistent lol) and i have the younger 2 at home all day so only expense is on nappies, milk & play groups...and occasional swimming trip if we have money left in the pot. Lol my eldest thinks we are deprived...i told him he has food, clothes on his back and a roof over his head he should be thankful
i have turned into my mother with that one line haha

I use my niece to show my little girl the difference between what she has and what my niece has and be thankful for what she's got.....that usually gets to her lolmean mummy lol
I've promised the kids that once we get the debts paid off we are using the money we paid the debts off with for our first holiday abroad so my daughter is all excited and actively helping me save and pay off what i can x
Plus i think this will teach her a valuable lesson on how to manage her money when she's older....i do believe they need to bring in something into the school to teach them the basic function of managing their finances when there olderNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -

Totally agree that something should be introduced into schools on teaching kids to avoid debt! My 12 yo thinks that it if he wants something we can get it even if we have no cash- i.e stick it on the CC or the O/D or catalogue so i need to re-wire his thoughts before sending him out into the big wide world with his own money lol, I think it might even be a good idea to tell him we are in debt and that we have to now budget and stop spending so friviously! > i can but try anyway!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. I think it would be a good idea to explain to him what debt is and that you have to pay it back as at 12 he'll have a better understanding, Abbie is 8 and she kinda understand...she understands more about making her money spread as far as she can xNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050

I think i'm definitely going to tell him he called again last night (he is at boarding school) and asked for an entire collection of warhammer 'things' to which i said NO and that he had to save up his pocket money from school & home to buy it himself!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000.
