Glad you are feeling a bit better today.  Well done on the exercise.

I think you need a special buy to let mortgage if you plan to rent to family, I don't think it's allowed for most standard ones.  Great idea though if you can do it.

  • Hi Babe,
So sorry to hear you have had a bit of a time off it lately, sometimes it's good to get it all out. I love the idea of the second home (in the future) for the kids! I think that really could be something to aspire to and as we all always say "if anyone can do it we know you can"
I've just cashed out my quidco tonight as your post reminded me, so thank you 😘

well the kicks keep on coming.......

logged into the banking this morning to see that my darling ex husband has halved his child maintenance payments as Abbie turns 18 but she's going to college this month and technically he's legally obliged to pay until she goes for her HNC next year.  So i've been on the phone to the RAF as thats where he works and also t CMS who talked me through their procedures as they confirmed what I thought as she is in full time education he needs to pay his maintenance for her.

So I have not had contact with him since January 9th 2013 so nearly 8 years so whilst i was on the phone to CMS I sent him a email to the two email address I have which have bounced any other time i have sent a message and lo and behold he replied (insert angry exploding face) saying he will reinstate Abbie's maintenance

so hes not spoken to our kids for nearly 8 years and hes now flippng replying !!!!!!  his choice by the way to have no contact just ghosted us in January 2013 and not a smidge since so CMS have been informed he replying so I've just to keep an eye on the payments

can you imagine how angry I am.........not today satan I am busy trying no to burst here

so basically he's flinging himself a pity party and saying he's a bad parent well I'm not disagreeing then asked me do I think the kids will speak to him again...............again it's going to come from me and me putting my kids into a situation they should never be in on the first place as I fought so hard to ensure he was still in their lives even when he hated me i still made sure these kids had contact with him and I insisted the judge gave him unlimited access as his job doesn't allow a regular routine which the judge was shocked at as he said what he comes across in his court is the mum playing hardball and making life difficult for the dad but i grew up with that and it is something I did not want for my children yet here I am in this situation.

sorry I am ranting but need to get it out my system

That's dire, no wonder you're angry. It seems a recurrent theme on these diaries with the exes trying to make life as difficult as they possibly can.
