My friend is feeling a bit better, she's joined a local gym so that will be great for her mental health. I spent most of my afternoon onto her housing association and the local council who were bombarding her with lots of info regarding her outstanding council tax. For most people this isn't a issue why when someone is number blind, not goof with her finances and dyslexic this can have a serious knock on effect to their mental health. So I think i have finally gotten to the bottom of the issue and I have said we need a two step plan to solve it and get her back on top of paying this bill. The guy from the council agreed and I've sent a email to them as well so fingers crossed they will deal with it as she signed a letter giving me permission to speak to the council regarding her account so hopefully they will contact me so I can explain it to my friend in a way she understands.
Nothing exciting to report, sorted out my Avon last night should make about £140 in commission this month, This I think will be going towards replastering my bathroom, after Abbie's 18th birthday party and someone being sick over my recently wallpapered walls I've decided I'll just get it skimmed and I'll paint it. Means it won't cost a fortune to freshen it up every year
Still don't know about hubby's credit card really need to pull my finger out but with everything that has been going on I've forgotten about it. I think the credit card can wait with everything you are doing and trying to sort. You really do have your hands full with everything. I hope you are getting some rest as well.
I hope your friend is okay though and that they do sort it out for her. It must have been such a stressful situation for you all.
Hopefully Abbie's appointment is ok tomorrow as well. I really don't know how you function sometimes with everything you are dealing with. x

Well the doctor told Abbie the wrong date for her appointment the CPN phoned her yesterday and it's the same rubbish she's been dealing with so I got in touch with a charity that Abbie had dealings with before she went to cahms as she said they were great. So they have got back in touch with Abbie and are going to assign her a councilor if they can they can recommend someone private and we will get her that.
Got my credit report in looks good. worked out my mortgage is sitting at £60869 so in 6 months it will be sitting at £59990 so that takes us to February so my aim will be to save £2/3K after the new year so we can get this to £56/£57K for the remortgage this would be amazing.
Been looking at remortgage deals with the halifax who i bank with. From their website I can see that if I were to remortgage with them then I could be paying £311 for 5 years fixed rate at 2.68% for 20 years which I have left on my mortgage when my fixed rate ends which is more than half the rate i pay already and would save me £88 a month from what I pay already. I can also overpay. However I can pay £391 which is £8 less than what I already pay I can knock off 5 years my new mortgage term and also overpay by 10% every year i'll defo be mortgage free by the time I'm 50. Is it sad I'm getting all excited about this.
Also my car is now sitting at £8847 this will be cleared by December 2021 and save me £242 a month which is a hefty amount tbh. but we will have a balloon payment at the end of it so yes I have a plan lol I will be saving the money up for the balloon payment after I've remortgaged so that come next December I can pay it upfront.
Avon deliveries are organised ready to go and make some pennies for the bathroom to be plastered.
I know I shouldn't be worrying about hubby's credit card but it will actually take my mind off the horrible things that are happening around me. my head starts whirring on how I can tackle my debt and actually helps me focus so will do it at the weekend.

I find decluttering helps take my mind off everything. It's my coping mechanism.
I was excited remortgaging and being mortgage free earlier! That's how I think I realised I had changed x

Just catching up with you and I'm glad you had a great holiday. What a nightmare with your friend, I'm pleased she's getting some help and she's lucky to have a fabulous friend like you. I hope you manage to get Abbie the help she needs. As ever, impressed by your determination to press on with the finances despite everything that's going on. Don't forget to take care of yourself amongst all this xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Had an awful weekend
I think everything just hit me at once as KK has been ill with a sickness bug that was going round the school, abbie's depression and my friend trying to end it plus my gran is slowly forgetting everything due to old age. I honestly don't know how to function in a world without her as she may be my gran biologically however she's more like my mum as she's always there for me and I'm struggling to imagine what a world without her in it is like so I had a very tearful weekend but I think it was needed as I feel better today.
Got up with hubby even though I had a rubbish sleep seen every hour on the clock but got up made hubby his breakfast, got his packed lunch sorted had my toast and put out the recycling for the bin men.
When hubby went to work I got on the cross-trainer managed 26 minutes so not bad for 3 weeks off it lol and I have the gym tonight at 6pm woo hoo so this will be my new routine, cross-trainer early in the morning and gym at night and I am aiming to lose 2 stone by eating right and training as i put all the weight i lost during lockdown on holiday but lost 3lbs last weeks so its on the right track only 1 stone and 11 lbs to go. this will take me to 11 stone 5lbs if i lose it all which i haven't weighed since my wedding day so this will give me something to focus on as well as hubby's credit card.
We've been looking into buy to let mortgages but I've told hubby I ain't entertaining the idea until i've cleared his credit card and we have secured a remortgage plus i want to pick the brains of the financial advisor as round this area we can get a 2 bedroom flat for about £30-£35k which would cost us £195 a month mortgage wise this is less than what we pay for the car at the moment which is shocking. The idea is to buy a property that our kids can move into and rent from us so I know my kids have a secured household and if they want to buy it from us in the future they can if not then they can move on to their own home. Does that make sense??? So this is something to aim for. and investigate more.
Todays' plan is to get my ironing pile out of the way and I need to get a battery for my smoke alarm as it started beeping and milk as didn't realise we had ran out until i went to make hubby some coffee.
Nike has refunded that money back onto my credit card so that's a bonus so we are out this Saturday near a big shopping centre so I'll take him into the sports shops and let Xander pick a new pair of trainers.
Got most of my Avon delivered just have one more that's to be collected but they've been poorly so i think they are collecting today so if they do I'll have £122 in my savings account so only £18 to find for the plasterer for the bathroom and we are good to go, well i need to strip the wallpaper off the wall but once that's done I can let him know and organise a date to get that done. Next job after that is to get my bedroom carpet professionally cleaned it was always planned for this year but hubby was sick on my carpet well over a year ago but my shark hoover has brought the mark to the surface after all this time and it's annoying me so it needs done so will text him today to organise a date for next month
Can you believe its September tomorrow???? This year has been a blur tbh. Need to do my invoice for the council for childcare today so I get paid next week.
