Got my dispatch note this morning

I just got a call to say there was an error and they can refund me or I can buy it for the £44 - anyone else had the call?

Are they still showing on your order history? My number is incorrect on there so probably they have tried to contact me. Think ill give them a call as looks like noone will be getting them boo

While Sainburys are right that they do not have to honour the price mistake on there website legally,good customer service says that they should. You can make a complaint by email/letter/phone call to there customer service department, saying how disapointed you are,that you wanted to purchase the doll in good faith and that a better customer service response would have been to honour the price to everyone who had already ordered the doll and then update their website with the correct price for everyone else. After all its their mistake and not yours.
