Men eh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What more can we say ::):):):) I am sure his parents know exactly what he is like believe me!

As you say it makes life easier you doing it so maybe its the only way to avoid rows etc. At least you can look at your home and realise the effort and hard work that you have put in and enjoy the result. We have a different set of rules in our house. Since I am the stay at home one I take on board all of the work but I do delegate housework out to the 'kids'. My husband works very very hard and earns an excellent salary so I don't think that he should have household tasks within the home. He is very tidy and clean so it works for us. He is tall whilst I am not and is very good at lifting things down from high places for mini me:):):)

Seriously though if I was to pressurise him into doing housework it wouldn't be worth the hassle to be honest.

Did you get much done last night?

So far today i have got a large bill for the repair to my car :(

Oh on the housework front - the whole house has been deep cleaned :j:j:j but i've not been able to start the declutter of the spare room. Bathroom all decluttered though :T To be honest there isn't loads in there so it didn't take ages either ;)

Right about to make me some lunch and then go and get my car back

Sorry to hear about the big car bill. I'm getting nervous about mine too :(

Did you get the new boiler in the end? or are you still saving for it.

I think the biggest problem with my Dh is he doesn't 'see' stuff that needs doing, he's not bothered about living in a mess. I figured out long ago that it was just better to get on with it myself. I do also blow up every now and again though :D

Well done on the deep clean :j:

    Hi all

As posted earlier - i've achieved lots and lots already this week but thought i'd best check what other things i'd set myself to do and see if any of them have been done and what else i can do :)

    Things still to do ;)

sort out tax return stuff hmm - aim to make a start on this before saturday Not managed to make a start so will get everything together in a bit

[STRIKE]Make start on spare room declutter will be starting tomorrow[/STRIKE] :j:j:j Started and will actually finish this weekend if i put my mind to it :D Reason being there is not too much in there thats mine really - and as with everything else its been decluttered lots and lots of times so what i've been through now is all being kept and is all clean and tidy :D
[STRIKE]Do the money dance need OH to be out of the way before i can do this[/STRIKE] :j:j:j Done - though i need to check if there is anything else i can squeeze out as a pad this month - to do tonight :)
    [STRIKE]return eb*y item :money: Gah! i might not return it - decisions, decisions[/STRIKE] :j:j:j Erm kinda done - i've kept it :p
make a list of all the important calls i need to make and make them :oNeed OH out of the way - maybe do the list tomorrow along with telephone numbers need to do...
[STRIKE]clean and tidy whole house [/STRIKE] :j:j:j Done!

    Added onto the list

    Bake cake :T
[STRIKE]Dig up plants and move them to new place in garden :)[/STRIKE] :j:j:j Done!
    [STRIKE]Take car to garage [/STRIKE] Done! :(
Transfer work bag (carrier) to proper bag :p

Feeling like my cold has decided to settle in and get worse today - still i have such a lot to do that i'd better get on

    Hiya everyone :D

Well i have definitely done lots today - and certainly over the last few days too :j:j:j Think i'll need to push myself tomorrow to finish the big declutter of the spare room - just so its not hanging over me :D You know that feeling when the end of a long, hard, drawn out task is in sight and you just want to get it done? Well thats exactly where i'm at :) I have done lots but still not hunkered down with the pesky MS tax return stuff - feel that'll be a quiet couple of hours tomorrow then ;)

But i didn't want to come on here and talk about whats been done / needs doing etc. I wanted to share a little bit about my weekend :) I'm kinda looking forward to next weekend as the last couple of weeks i've wasted a few hours taking car to garage and then getting it back again. But still this weekend i gave myself a little push and have upped my running distance :T:T:T Ok, i'm not running all the way yet - but by keeping this up i should be improving and running further each time :D The rain actually stayed off whilst i was plodding along although i don't mind a bit of rain :) Because the distance was further i had to find a new route which was also a bit of a push for me as i was going outside my comfort zone  So i am very proud of myself and some good free exercise too and getting out into the fresh air and clearing my head a bit too so all very good there :T:T:T

I almost forgot - once i'd got back from my run i thought well i'm going to get in the shower anyways and the grounds probably soft outside - so i threw my running stuff into the machine, donned my gardening kit and went and dug up 2 big plants and moved them to their new spot. Hope they'll be ok though i won't be too upset if not. They are really quite big for the garden and were in totally the wrong place - taking up all the light and space so no little plants can be put in and survive. These are plants that were already in when we moved here by the way. Now i'm hopeful they'll be happy in their new spot. But i'm pleased i've got this done now as it prepares the garden a bit more for next year :D

Today i decided not to run - my little legs needed a bit of recovery time and i knew i'd made the right decision when i went out for a big walk and my legs were telling me they had done a lot recently :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Its been one of those days here today - bit bright and sunny and then cloudy and rainy - well on the way home i saw the most amazing double rainbow!!! :j:j:j I've never seen a double one before, or been so close to one - the colours were spectacular - i should have put my running training to some good use and run over for the pot of gold :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: - Isn't it wonderful though seeing fab things like this that are completely free and totally lift your spirits :D

Tomorrow i'll be running again - i really have to keep it up :) - And in exciting news i'll be getting round to baking that cake i've not started on yet :o - i love baking and have just not done enough of it - can't even remember the last time i did any :o Hopefully with the house clutter free and everything having a place i'll have more time to make scrummy cakes - and also a bit of time to put my feet up and enjoy eating them whilst having a cuppa too :coffee:

Also managed to squeeze in a visit to family and have a cuppa there :D I was hoping to go out tomorrow to a little cafe /restaurant which is in the most beautiful place but i suspect OH is just wanting to stay in tomorrow and not go anywhere - oh well that means i'll have the chance to finish the bits of things off i've not done and get my cake in the oven :D

Hope everyone else has enjoyed a lovely weekend x

Just a little update - like i say coming on here keeps me focused and encourages me To Get Things Done ;) On that note i went for my run and was completely rubbish  :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Lesson learned there i think - Yes it would have been easier to run on a good night sleep but i think i need to do 2 x 5k runs (with a days rest inbetween) and then do a 10k run / walk - gradually building up to more running than walking ;) and then leave a 2 day recovery break until my next 5k - well thats the plan for now we'll see how i get on ;)

Couldn't bake my cake as i have no cake storage tin :o - added onto shopping list and made biscuits instead :j:j:j and they were scrummy :D - i may want to lose weight but i'm not going to cut out everything i like - thats where the exercise comes in ;)

Made my PAD :T washing done and dryer on and going to start tea in a mo.
But i wanted to say - i have now finished the spare room declutter which means every room in the house has been thoroughly decluttered and deep cleaned :T:T:T It feels lovely - except for the fact that apart from the very few items i got together to e-b*y there will be no additional income from selling stuff :( Apart from the odd item of clothing throughout the year which becomes too big / unsuitable etc. And i've not been able to get my stuff onto e-b*y because the comp is still being a major pain

I've done my surveys and free bingo :D

Things left to do from this weekends list are:

    Start using proper work bag
    Sort out MS stuff
Make list of calls and make them - list has been made calls to be started tomorrow ;)

Now i think its time to start tea and then start MS stuff - job 1 is the straightforward task of putting everything into order  it shouldn't feel such a mammoth task once i've made a start - she says :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: And then i think i'll pour myself a little drinkipoos  i've earned it :D
