[STRIKE]Morning all[/STRIKE] erm Afternoon people
Well i got up this morning and did some bingo and surveys and very nearly went back to bedinstead i have just been out for my nice big walk and am now having cake and a cuppa :coffee:
Can't believe the time though  i have quite a bit to do today - which probably explains why i want to just curl up and rest
Needs must though so i will do my 2nd lot of bingo and then start on 1 of the jobs i have to do today :T
Have a good day all xCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Remember how tired i was yesterday ? - well i didn't go back to bed - and have had the longest lie-in today and am still tired *yawn*
So the mahoosive list of jobs that i have to do - which actually doesn't include all the things that *need* doing on it - is looking like it will be a plan for the week *eep*
Still, i have ticked a couple of things off the list which is always good to do :T:T:T
And particulary good after getting up so late and then deciding breakfast of croissants would be a fantastic idea
It is a very wet and cold day here today - so i think i'll put the heating on - as i've already got a jumper on and am still chilly brr! and if the heating is on then that may persuade me to have a shower - oh that makes me sound terrible doesn't it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: - i don't actually *need* a shower but am hoping it will have some sort of reviving and energising powersWell i have a phone call to make first - which i'm hoping won't take too long and then we'll take it from there

Aw thanks picklealthough this is probably the point where i should admit to not buying any toiletries for myself in forever - still getting through the xmas gifts - even the ones i don't like as i just cannot justify spending any money on anything i really don't need to
Hope all is well with you hon xx
Especially when i had the shocking idea today that maybe i should just hand my notice in and see what job i can get in the month :eek::eek: - i know - lots of things really showing me just how much i love my job
But then there's the mortgage to pay - all these bills and a house that has alot of work that needs doing on itGah!
So i pulled my little socks up (blue spotty ones) and started to work on how i'm going to make my main part of my additional income  I spent about 2 hours on this and thats just a start - there's no extra funds coming in from anywhere at the mo.
MS's are just not there for me to apply for :undecided i've had a few of my p/t hours cancelled too
But i am making steps in the right direction by looking into new things
I have also sorted a couple of bits for carboot
but these are only small things
and obviously until i have my carboot and sell things i won't have any income from them
Bought some reduced price food today to freeze up to- the first bit of reduced food i have seen in a long time.
Just doing my free bingo and that will probably be it for me today :cool:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
I handed in my notice once without another job to go to, it was quite scary but also liberating. However, I didn't have a mortgage to pay and was still living at home so it wasn't such a huge deal. I was also lucky enough to walk into a new job straight away. Times aren't quite so good these days.
I hope you do manage to find something soon though, it's no fun being in a job you dislike."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Aw Thanks hon
i *do* try not to whinge about it too much on here - or anywhere for that matter - but sometimes just have to vent. i had a terrible nights sleep last night kept waking up fretting over work
i could do with a week off to find something new as i'm out of the house so long during the day that any jobs i've found to apply for in the morning have been withdrawn due to the number of applications by the time i get home :undecided
I know i've lost momentum lately - its not just the lack of money coming in for all the reasons listed yesterday but its also the state of the house and the amount of work that needs doing on it- i know once the next 2 rooms have been decluttered and deep cleaned (october) then the place will be tidier and more organised but the big jobs that need doing - gutters, boiler, radiators, windows, doors... it goes on  and because of my financial situation nothing has progressed on these jobs over the last few years
As i've posted previously i do need a new boiler and am looking at trying to either get a 0% deal for this or to see if i can use my overdraft to pay for it. What i think i'll do is ask for a quote for the boiler and another quote for boiler and radiators and see if i can get it all done which will make a huge differenceI'm also going to get a quote for my windows - maybe do these 1 or 2 at a time - they really are horrendous
- not just not sealed properly but somehow getting full of water :eek::eek: - if i can get these huge jobs done - which will be 2 windows(for now), radiators and boiler then the house will look hugely different :T:T:T be better maintained against the elements :T:T:T and i'll feel fab about it too
What i won't feel fab about is the debt
so i am going to progress with my little plan tomorrow - will mean another hour of time without income straight but i'll update where i'm up to after that
The plan is to raise the funds for the windows and take on more debt to get the heating working:o:o - will it sound like i'm trying to justify it if i say that the bills should go down as the heating will only come on when we want it too? so really it is a little mse

Feel free to vent away - it is your diary after all!
We had the sealed unit replaced in on of our windows when we had the doors done, and it only cost about £60. I thought that was quite cheap! It wasn't replacing the frame or the whole window though, so I don't know how much that would have cost.
With all of the jobs you need doing - the front door and the guttering - maybe it's worth getting quotes for those too, as then at least you can see where you are and how much you need to raise. You might find that some are surprisingly cheap and something you can get done relatively easily. We put something off for months and months because we didn't know how much it cost, then we were forced to do it, and it turned out it only cost about £25. We were so miffed we hadn't looked into it before.
That's frustrating about the job thing. Could you perhaps register with some agencies or approach directly companies that you are interested in working for? Rather than waiting for them to advertise."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hey everyone - best be getting my tired little self off to bed soon.
Anyways after being a little cryptic yesterday - because i am overly cautious at timesi'll fess up today
I have 1 small item i have had for a long time - there is no sentimental value as its something i purchased myself, alone (so no special attachment to the day or anything) Now i absolutely love this item but it has no practical use and is not out on display so today it went out into the big wide world as an item for saleThis is a huge thing for me to do as i have always loved having this item and felt i would keep it forever and now i've thought ok, i need to raise the money to get the work on the house done  i have put a high value reserve on this item though but the reserve is something which i also think is reasonable as in - if i had a certain income / savings etc. and this was an item i wanted then the reserve price is something i'd be willing to pay - if that makes any sense. As i totally love this item if it doesn't sell then i need to continue to look at other ways to raise the funds but i will be able to keep an item i love love love rather than letting it go for peanuts
Oh, jwil yes - i want to register with agencys etc. once my cv has been done professionally - the cv is the first stepnd windows - for us its the whole kaboodle (sp?) frames etc. so am getting quotes for that asap

Fingers crossed you get a good sale for your item!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Thanks hon
I have put the reserve at what i believe the cost of my new windows to be (for all the house) So not vast amounts of wealth but if it sells its enough to make a difference :T
The start of another month this weekend  so i'll be going over the goals i set myself and what i've achieved and what i need to get a wriggle on with
Did the grocery shopping today and managed to somehow spend more than intended - don't even know on what  - i think everythings just so expensive now
Good thing about the start of a new month though is that i can start afresh on targets and moneymakingCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000
