Urgh! Am certainly not feeling great _pale_ Well have listed 1 more item on e-bay - but it wasn't from my clothes
i have found 1 top to give away also
i think i'll go through my wardrobe again in a different way  thinking about how many things of a certain style i have... i just went through the tops and jackets so i'll see how many going out tops i have and how likely i am to wear these. I very rarely go out so hopefully will find some things this way - though i'm not sure there were alot of tops in this section.
Thinking i'm going to have to put the heating on today - i am just so cold and hopefully this will help me to feel better soonCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Well the wardrobe declutter floundered a bit
- i have 2 going out tops so can't really edit that down any more than it already is
I think the decluttering (apart from jointly owned stuff) is a bit like when you first start out on the debt clearing road. At first its all quite quick, lots of new ideas to make money / reduce spending that has a big impact and then the momentum slows a bit because e.g you can only reduce shopping budget once - at first you notice the savings and then that becomes the norm, or you cancel DD's that aren't needed make a saving but then you need to look at smaller things for new savings / income. And so with decluttering there are all the bigger more obvious things that can go and this brings in the money and then once they've all gone its the hard trudging through the smaller things that won't bring in much and won't clear much space but it will still all help
I think i keep thinking there's stuff to declutter in my clothes because each item is a certain size and once i've decluttered it i feel that its made a difference. The problem with my clothes and nothing to wear its not the clothes its my weight and once i'm well enough this can be addressed too xCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Grr! if only things were nice and could work properly eh? Got the hot water to work and got in the shower, washed hair conditioner on and then water went freezing - OH wasn;t in for me to holler to to try and get the water working again and even if he had been sometimes once its gone off its several hours to get it going again
que me rinsing hair and body in freezing water thinking that 'this won't be helping the cold any'
Righto! Currently formulating a decluttering planCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
That must be so frustrating about the water.
You are so right about the decluttering - at the start it is so easy, and then it gets annoying. I always revisit stuff I've previously decided I would keep a few months later, and often have changed my mind.
It is incredibly hard to get my DH to take part too, so I can feel your pain! Most of the stuff in the house is stuff we've inherited, so he needs to give the authorisation to get rid of it. He's always got something better to do though, hence there is still so much around!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Like so many things, decluttering, whether of "stuff" or clothes etc has to be done when your mindset is right to make the best of it. so, if you are not feeling that your head is in the right place today, don't fight it....yes, you KNOW that it is a job that needs doing, but you will make a far better job of it when you are doing it on the *right* day.
And of course some of it is interlinked - clothes with weight etc, and that introduces another need for your mindset to be right.
I have today unpacked another box -it has been in a cupboard waiting to be done since we moved in December.....today I finally did it, throwing away some stuff that was in it, and putting away other stuff. That, in turn, led me to start sorting some other stuff in another cupboard.....when it happens, I run with it - when it doesn't, I don't fight it, because I know it WILL happen at the right time.
If you are still feeling unwell, STOP all this worktype stuff and get yourself better - decluttering will be so much easier if you actually have some energy xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
HI DDfw
Sorry you weren't feeling well earlier. Hope the rest of the day has been good to you.
I have been screened out all day on GLbl Test Mrkt...they don't love me anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.
Its difficult to get rid of things but be ruthless and remember what the end result will be.
God bless

Hi all
jwil - yes the water is a constant annoyance - the amount of time i waste trying to get hot water to work and the amount of money on heating (water only works with all heating on) Hence the necessity of this being accomodated in my sig.And i agree - decluttering would be so much easier if our OH's were on board
hypno - i think i'm starting to realise the impact of my thyroid problem is having on me- until my tablets are right i'm suffering the symptoms - a big one being the exhaustion! i only just realised i've been ill with colds and flu for weeks now - i manage to struggle through 1 and then get the other. Now i finally realised i feel exhausted because of the thyroid (its not just tiredness) and i think this feeling run down means i'm picking up bugs / illnesses very easily. I've been to the doctors several times - have to go for blood test and then to docs for appointment and i've explained how i'm feeling - advice so far is once the tablets are right everything will be fine and just carry on. This has been ongoing for months so i've now written down what i want to say to the doctor at my next appointment - just things like the huge impact on my quality of life, that i'm trying to exercise (they said to do this to help with the exhaustion) but even going for a walk leaves me completely wiped out for the rest of the day and the next day too. I've written it down as i couldn't speak for crying last time i went when i realised there was nothing else being done to help me and i truly felt like i was going to collapse
But then again the anxiety and stress which are another symptom don't necessarily help do they? So its all a bit of a vicious circle
At least i can see that it is all symptoms and in positive thoughts when my tablets are right i will be back to my usual self.
Goodness didn't mean to waffle on so and not sure if i'm making any sense as this flu is hanging on!
Ebayqueen - hope you are feeling better too - ah well at least i'm in good company on being screened out of the surveysCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

Scouted around for MS's and there are none for me to apply for

It must be awful feeling that bad all the time, so I think you've done the right thing by writing everything down for your doctor. I always forget half the things I wanted so say, so you can just give them the note if need be. Hope they manage to get it sorted out soon though. The anxiety and stress will be taking it out of you though - it really knocks me out. Is there something you can do to try and manage that? Maybe some Yoga or something - exercise which will help and perhaps not tire you out to the same extent.

Hi all
Confession timeStill being thoroughly ill i have done 2 things
1, yesterday i spent 1.70 so i could eat something hot for lunch and this also covered my tea too
And today i've put the heating on  Desperately wanting to be well for the weekend and i've so much to catch up on!
So, thinking of things to catch up on i popped my notebook in my bag to jot down some of those ideas about plans to be debt free by my birthday next year. Now, for a whilei've been saying i'll be debt free by my next birthday and have had no real plans in place to make this happen - other than the hopes of a new better paid job.
I now have the bones of a plan in place - it will be a bit of a work in progress throughout the year - seeing as i can't work out where every penny of that huge amount is coming from :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: but i am soo keen to make this happen! It will mean paying off more than i earn in a year  and bear in mind i have to pay mortgage, gas, electric, petrol, car tax etc. etc. so its not like i'm just throwing wages at the debt its pretty much all going to be extra income. Especially as my income doesn't cover all my household bills :eek::eek: Ok enough of that talkLets focus on making this happen
Which means i'm thinking of starting a new diary  The thing is this diary isn't all that long... but i see the diary as being a document of time and as i move into my new year and start off on my future plans i'm thinking a new diary will mark a fresh start too
Was good to get some ideas down on paper and am looking forward to starting the other aspects of my life i'm working on :j
