ooh, the 2 things thing sounds just like the sort of thing that I need to do.
My mum always used to make us do "advert tidies" ie when the adverts were on we spent those 2 mins tidying.....amazing what a difference that made!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi hypno - yes the adverts was another one i do from time to time too. So several things have been moved so far and lots more to go. Lifted out 1 item for the carboot too which is good - don't have alot to sell really but anything will help and these are more the bulky things that are not worth much and are probably useful but the cost of postage would mean it would not be worth putting them on e-bay.
I think I'll commit to tackling the bedding box next - don't think there is actually anything in here to get rid of but I have an item to put in there so will mean lifting everything off the top of it firstMainly cushions and xmas gifts stash
By doing all these things it means I will start next week with a sense of achievement and a more organised home
Really, really, really wanted a takeaway for tea yesterday - would have been the 3rd takeaway for us in 18mths- but would also have been the 3rd one this year
Think it was partly a bit of comfort eating and not wanting to bother cooking etc. logic took over as essentially eating food that had been bought from shopping would not cost any more and a takeaway would have been £20.
Been perusing potential homes on the internet - not done this for a while - my essentials list - gardens, at least semi detatched, period features and 3 bed - very little that actually meets this criteria and all are way out of budget even if there was no debt at the moment. All the more reason to pay the mortgage down on this place I say :T
Right, back later with another updateCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Bedding box done
Moved a couple of items extra too whilst I was up there
Ok, going to shower next before making a start on tea. Lunch and brekkie plates have all been washed, meal plan sorted out for next week, a survey completed :T Also threw out some bits that were broken beyond repair - only just discovered this.
Going to do a bit of shredding next. Need to get some compost this week to plant out potatoes but more than that i need to get the money to get the compostshould have some p/t work this week but even if i do its a long time until payday and am in the cycle of needing money for petrol to get to the p/t work in the first place.
Right then my plan seems to be: shower, move 2 items whilst i'm up there, then make a start on tea and move 2 items from in kitchen. Ponder any saleable items i may have for either e-bay or carbootCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Bah! I forgot about the shredding  Must remember to take large rubbish bag up after to empty shredder and then feed the machine with the necessary bits that need to go.CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000

Hi Everyone,
Spends today have been grocery based:- £2.81 - which is 1 meal for me and OH and also meat for OH's sandwiches for 1 week - both items were reduced so all good thereHad said I'll update this stuff before but got taken up with everything else
Just doing free bingo after doing a couple of surveys.
Have not switched the heating on after getting home - usually it is the first thing i do as it can be decidedly chilly
Off to bed in a mo. as quite tired and am starting to feel the chill a bit.
Plans for this week are:-
Pull up my socks and crack on with CV  Contact a couple of book shops or charity shops after this to see if there are any vacancies.
Do 1 more small thing in the garden - after the world of difference the half hour this week made then i think 30mins every week is more than manageable and will soon have the place looking splendid :j:j
Price up some new tyres on e-bay
Gosh, sleep beckons - hope it is a nice deep and refreshing snooze.CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Hiya! One box that is conspicuous by its absence is the one marked "ME".....
I know that you will say that a lot of those boxes are related to "you" ie what you want, but there needs to be one specifically for "me time" - time to indulge in thinking, in having a cuppa in peace, in going for a walk, in brainstorming where you want to be going with the rest of your boxes - whatever........but it must be a separate box otherwise you will be tackling all the other boxes thinking they are achieving what you want them to achieve but without actually addressing whether they are all linking into what YOU really want/need.
Maybe that is not expressed in the best way, but hopefully you get my drift!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Hi All,
Yawn! Very tired this week and lots to do.
Hypno - thank you for pointing out the one i'd missed - that makes perfect sense and is definitely something i often overlook
Have already made the decision to reduce my p/t hours by 6 hours a month so that should help balance my time out for me. It doesn't sound loads but it will be 6 hours i'm not being paid for. I've decided this as this is the main shift I get cancelled on me - and on numerous times this has been after i've got up early and am just about to leave - or worse still after i've driven the 5miles to get there. What with the cost of fuel being so high i just cannot afford this. Also, the pay is quite low so for the 6 hours i am sure i can do something far more productive :T Just got to call the boss now - well not right now as its a tad late :rotfl::rotfl: but will let them know this week
Jwil thank you for you kind words.
Grr! Got to find me a £42 payment for 1 cc and an £82 one for the other :eek::eek: both due out before my wages come in and nothing with any bids on on e-bay :eek::eek: I know its not like i didn't know about these but as I did a BT for the bigger bill am shocked that the payment is so high- apparently it'll be lower next month but the same interest was added this time.
So far priced up said tyres - lets hope i receive an unexpected bonus as am looking at £80 each and i need 5
I had a NSD today - tomorrow though i need petrol.
Still managed to keep the heating off and am now off to bed.

That sounds sensible about the p/t job.
Eeek to cc bills and tyres though.
Ebay is pretty slow for me too at the moment, but that is probably because all mine are relists and there's nothing new on there."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
why dont you look at partworn tyres, the ones i get for my car range between £25/30 for low profile tyres. new would be £60/100.
always begrudge new as dh can always find the debris in the roads and get puntures
