Hi All,
Yikes! My weekend feels as though it has disappeared ratherly quickly.
Righto! Best crack on am due to leave for work shortly and have managed to get myself only half dressed :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Hope that's 30 minutes a day and not 30 minutes in the whole week for yourself"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Hi All
Erm Jwil - yes that is 30mins a week - no way i could get up any earlier to give myself 30mins to myself a day eep! One of the many reasons i want a job that does not mean spending approx 3hours travelling a day
Got home from work and washed pots, made and had tea with tv on in background and a bit of reading on here
Have moved some papers out of box from mums and currently working through a folder from that too
Have done both lots of free bingo
Spent £4.50 on 3 lots of reduced price meat :T Should make a good few meals so am pleased with this.
Ooh confession time - asked Jwil for advice / support on a new coat and jumper i had seen reduced in the sales - think this was partly due to wanting some retail therapy after the last couple of weeks and nice new clothes which actually fitmanaged to restrain myself though. This is a good reminder to me to look out for those emotional triggers (shockingly i would have had to borrow the money to buy these :eek::eek::o but as i am due extra from work i did a while back i was intending this as a little treat £35 instead of £107).
Target 1 now stands at just over £1025 - interest will be added however and sadly i will not manage to clear this in March.
I now need to come up with some ideas to raise the cash to clear this in full in April. Plans so far are:
Reach payout on 2 x surveys - these should be either £40 each or £30 and £40 - 1 pays out quickly not sure on the other but this is minimum £70 (very close to payout on both)
Had some p/t work cancelled again this week (not the 6 hours I am giving up) cannot rely on this too much but expect £37.50 to be available as an overpayment unless lots more gets scrapped.
Aim for £100 in e-bay sales, intend to reach this by listing 10 items a week as a minimum - will list quite a few low value items and a few higher priced pieces.
Aim for £40 from MS - really will need to choose carefully - don't want to be spending 3 hours work for just a few pounds.
Aim for £50 earnings from carboot. Best get decluttering :A
Will update as i go along but this is a 3rd of the way there with ideas - really, really, really, really want to clear and close this card - feel it'll give me the ooomph i need to start pushing on with the next debt.CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Bleurgh! Cannot sleep due to an upset stomach - probably due to all the worrying over bills
So decided best thing to do was check for any MS's - done and none available
Free Bingo - x1 done
Transferred £6.38 off target 1 - must update my totals on the challenge tomorrow  Money was from an MS payment from last month
Decluttered 1 basket :A
Put some paperwork in order
So paid 6.38/1025.38 total = 1019:T:T:TCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
I empathise with the lack of sleep - one of the problems with the clocks going forward is that my insomnia kicks in at 4am rather than the old 3am.....which is pants because by the time I fall back to sleep, it is time for my alarm to go off at 5.45
Ah well, I hope that you are not too tired today as a result.
The plans for getting the money together look good - just like reading my diaries of old

Hi All
Hypno - I never got the time to read all your old diaries but now feel reassured that if my plans sound anything like yours did i must be doing something rightThank you so much for the words of encouragement. I tend not to sleep very well but feel today will be hard going as it was after 3.30am before i finally nodded off for a bit
Just picked up a small MS but sadly won't see the money for this until next month
Just been in kitchen cupboards and lifted out 1 item for carboot and 1 item for e-bay - hoping this one will bring in a few pounds so fingers crossed - really want to list it now but will wait until an evening or weekend for a hopefully better finish time.
Oh! P/t work - had some hours cancelled again today - mind you i probably needed the restbut i have got some hours tomorrow and next week that i hadn't included in my calculations yesterday :T:T:T
Oops, that just leaves the surveys - off i go for a look in a mo.
From the MS money that came in and also from some e-bay funds i had transferred i have just made another payment to target 1 of £27: -
Day 1: paid 6.38/1025.38 total = 1019:T:T:T
Day 1: paid 27.00/1019 total = 992 :T:T:T interest still to be added thoughCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Hey DDFW, hope you are feeling better this morning.
I've got a credit card of £150 and one of around £1,000, both it would be really great to clear next month. How about we have a mini challenge? I haven't got a clue how, but I'm willing to give it a go.
Mine will be mainly ebay and amazon, plus the usual payments. I think I'm close to payout on a couple of survey sites but will have to see. The £150 one will be cleared anyway, but to get the £1000 cleared as well will be amazing!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Have you ever used Turbolister DDFW? I use it all the time now, find it much quicker. You just list your item when you've got a spare few minutes, then upload it when you want to. It might be helpful for you especially as you are so time-short!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hi Everyone
Jwil - i have heard of turbo lister but have no idea how this works
A challenge for moneymaking sounds fun but hmm what  how about we both have a ponder and list our ideas and see what we come up with :j:j:j
So as you can see from earlier i am aiming to PAD daily to target 1 to try and get rid of this bill before the end of the AprilIt will be tough but i think the feeling of getting rid of 1 bill will be immense and will be so worth it :T:T:T
So far: -
Lifted out some bits for e-bay and carboot,
Plodded through some surveys and got screened out of others
Pleased about the p/t work i have gained - hoping no more is cancelled
Checked for MS's and still none to be had
Still thinking of other ways to get the rest of the funds together
Hmm - will try not to think too hard just now need a good nights sleep methinks after last night :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Hope you managed to get a good night's sleep.
I've paid off my £150 credit card today, so pleased with that. I also redeemed £10 last night from a survey site, so am going to pay an extra £10 tomorrow to cover it (I redeem for amazon vouchers). I also sold £10.97 worth on ebay last night so will add that once everyone has paid.
I checked another survey site and will have £10 on there to redeem when a couple of surveys are authorised, and I'm hoping to get £55 from Topcashback this month, though that will depend if the retailer pays up. I'm also one survey away from a redeem at another survey site so hopefully will get that soon. Finally any amazon vouchers I get from BP I will pay the equivalent off the card.
Those will also be added to the balance, and I'm just going to see if I can cut back at all on my frittering (of which I still do far too much). I'll try and get some more books on amazon, and some more listed on ebay, but that's as much as it will come to I expect.
It will be very satisfying to see it gone, that's for sure!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
