Wooo! That's progress indeed :j I have to plant ideas in my Dh's head and then wait for him to come up with them himself :rotfl:

Well done on getting the letter done too :)

    Thanks jwil :)

Unfortunately though today is not going exactly as planned :o First of all i got up later than intended so i've not been out to do a few errands - not to worry they are nothing too pressing and can wait. Plus i needed the rest.

But yesterday i was given a number for who could help me with my cv :) but was told not to ring them then as they close in 15minutes ? So i thought i'll phone them today when i've also got time if thats whats needed - rang them and no they don't do anything with cvs :( but told me to go to a local centre where they can help i asked where the nearest one was to be told there aren't any local to me and it was suggested i go the library :( so i looked up these centres and found 1 which is local to me only to find no they don't offer any help with cvs either - none of the centres do :( then i simply looked up cv places definitely rang the right number as i can see it on my phone and they said it was the wrong number :( Complete waste of a morning :(

I have found lots of websites who will charge me for my cv which is fine but i prefer to meet someone and discuss my work and achievements and they can translate that onto a cv that'll fit into the required cv size this way i know they understand what i have done - does anyone have any experience of any places that help with cvs - i guess i don't see the point in sending off to someone i've not met a cv i've already done that i'm not happy with because how can i be sure that i'll be happy with what they do ? :(:( Urgh!

    Hi all

i have come on here to confess my spends :( In some ways i know its not so bad - as you'll see from my attempts at justiftying it :p but the reality is its money spent on things and not off the debt :o

I ordered a gift from the book people - so a huge saving on the normal retail price :T i remembered to go through cashback which also gave me free delivery - this is a gift so it is essential

what wasn't so essential was the book i ordered for myself :o i have wanted it for over a year and am going to make myself use it once a week over the next 4 weeks (after delivery) to make me feel less guilty :o It is a cake cookery book and this will also encourage me to spend time baking which i find relaxing, enjoyable - both the baking and the eating ;) and its some essential 'me' time firmly slotted into the day :D Total spend £17.99 - 1 book set, 1 cakey book :D

Next spend was another gift :o again its a gift and i needed to get one so was unavoidable - managed to get several free gifts with it though :T so have, from this got the 1 gift i meant to get, got another gift out of the freebie lot and got a few bits i can use too :T Not too shabby for £13.50 - but still its spending money arrrgh! :rotfl:

Now need to find some items to list on the bay of e as penance :o

Keep adding up my total debt in the hopes it goes down :o

    Rest is good DDFW.

I'm sorry I've never used a CV service. Does the job centre not offer anything? There are some tips and a couple of examples of CVs here: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/Jobseekers/Helpapplyingforajob/DG_173655

Maybe sit down and write down everything that you've done, and then see if you can condense it into a few categories?

You can't debtbust all the time DDFW, most of those spends are gifts and one book for yourself is hardly a blowout.

I would selflessly like to declare my place at the head of the queue to test all those cakes you will be making :D :EasterBun

    Target 1 Start Balance 10/03/12 £2535

    10, £2535 - 700 = 1835
    11, £1835 - 4.80 = 1830.20
    12, £1830.20 - 12.51 = 1817.69
    13, £1817.69 - 1.63 = 1816.06
    13, £1816.06 - 15.00 = 1801.06
    14, £1801.06 - 3.55 = 1797.51
    15, £1797.51 - 15.44 = 1782.07
    16, £1782.07 - 1.25 = 1780.82
    17, £1780.82 - 1.96 = 1778.86
    18, £1778.86 - 2.00 = 1776.86
    19, £1776.86 - 10.00 = 1766.86
    20, £1766.86 - 6.63 = 1760.23
    21, £1760.23 - 31.93 = 1728.30
    22, £1728.30 - 22.69 = 1705.61
    23, £1705.61 - 80.00 = 1625.61
    24, £1625.61 - 7.00 = 1618.61
    25, £1618.61 - 25.00 = 1593.61
    26, £1593.61 - 5.00 = 1588.61

    Hi ddfw

Havent had the chance to catch up on the diaries these last couple of days. Not enough hours for me to get things done. You are doing really well with you PADs. You are so organised. :) Wish I had half your drive at the moment.

Your buys sound lovely and you saved money too. You have to do these things now and again especially when you are directing every spare penny to your PAD's. You are far too hard on yourself my dear. Relax and enjoy your book.

I have been outside these last few days getting bits and bobs done in the garden and hope to do so again today. Feeling sore so thats a good sign :) Need to shift some of these stubborn pounds. Ate no bread at all yesterday and hope to do the same again today.

Good luck with ebay and take care of yourself. :):)

Hey jwil - i know :o - the reason i'm beating myself up about the book though is that it wasn't a 'need' it had just been a 'want' for a very long time :o Still baking cakes every week will hopefully teach me a lesson :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Teehee - i accept your request as chief cake taster :D

Actually was probably a good thing i ordered that book because i posted on your thread - i like cooking and baking and ok, i cook here every day but thats basic stuff and things i'm familiar with - what i enjoy doing is trying new things, following new recipes which makes the whole cooking experience more enjoyable than just functional / practical - so i'm going to cook something new this weekend :T - i was going to do it next weekend but things have conspired against me and then i thought - why wait until then ? :)
