Hiya DDFW
How are you today. Haven't been on for a few days and am trying to catch up."You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream"C. S. Lewis

Awwwwww, sorry to hear you are not feeling too well :-( This time of the year there are soooooo many bugs and lurgies going around. Snuggle up and relax xx
The eBay selling sounds pretty fabby :-). I have never ventured on to EBay yet, but I'm sure I must have LOADS of junk just waiting to be sold. As they say, one persons junk is another persons treasure. I think I might have to put that theory to the test :-)
Take care and hope you are better soon Xx

Hi all
Although i've been on MSE i've not posted on my thread for a couple of days for various reasons. Totally out of sorts at the mo.
ebayqueen - hi how are you? hope you're ok x
Hi enchanted hope all is well with you
hi jwil hope everything is ok with you?
Had a mini breakthrough (for me at least) yesterdayI had to post some more things and thought - ooh if i have enough change left i'll just pop into the delicious pastie shop for a pastie
because its only a small amount of money so an affordable treat. Then thought well that'll be £1 and some pence and if i don't buy this treat then i can PAD that £1 odd and although i'm hungry there is plenty of bread at home for toast which i've already paid for. So i didn't fritter away my £1 odd
and PADed this (to my shortfall amount) :A Its just so easy to think its only £1 etc. and it all mounts up really.
It was a good thing too as i seem to have mis-calculated my shortfall - not sure how as i've gone over the figures a couple of times and i've not missed anything i'm just further away than i thought i was - will need to check everything on the final day really as then its either there to cover the bills or not.
Has anyone any idea when amaz*n pay out? I've had my first payment from them for 1 thing i sold but not the second and i can see the money sat there.CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Well done on resisting the pasty DDFW!
Amazon automatically disperse every 2 weeks I think. You can request it straight away though - go to your account, click on the amount showing as available, and click 'disperse now'. If it says 'not eligible to disperse now' I click on 'why' and it usually gives me the option there to request it. For me though, it takes the best part of a week to arrive in my account from when I request it."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hi DDFW
Sorry to hear that you are not in the best of form. Hopefully you will feel better in a few days. Trying to make money can wear you down and the debts hanging over your head do the same. Just remember we are all here to keep you going

You are my amaz*n gurui couldn't find 'disperse now' BUT it does say tomorrow is the SETTLEMENT date - hope this means thats when the coffers start making their merry way towards me
Hopefully i'll see this in my account before month end - we will see. It will help a bit but i will still have a shortfallBut as i say i'll just wait until the day before and then there will be no doubt as to where i'm up to. I've kept track of whats come in and whats been paid its just that i'd checked the figures loads of times and each time the shortfall seemed correct as to any changes (money in/out) but then the last time i did it the figure was out and i couldn't find why

Thanks ebayqueenYou are so right on this. The debts are taking their toll on me at the moment and i am wishing my life away to the next time that money is due in
Plus the debts and general lack of income mean the house is a building site which i think is taking its toll on both of us
And then i am going out less and less due to not having the money to spend - again this affects both me and my fella. And then i've just had a really rude message off someone who bought something off me on eb*y. I would not dream of speaking to someone in this manner (no swearing but really over the top bad manners) and then things like this get to me. Harumph!
*But*
The positives are - and i feel the need to pop some down as i don't want to just be negative1, i am addressing the debt and making sure it is going down and not up
2, I feel i have finally mastered the basics of meal planning thus eating well and saving a fortune :T 3, decluttering and saving items for other use has become 2nd nature so recycling things too
4, I *will* be paying off target 1 in my sig next month :j:j:j so that'll leave me with 6 other debts shhh! 5, once the balance shows as £0 and i have a statement in my sticky mitts to that effect i'll be closing this account down - positive impact on my credit file there then
6, The BEST positive is that i have 'met' all you lovely people who are really making a difference to me
I log on and if i see one of you has left a message i know it will be something encouraging / kind / friendly - so thank you ebayqueen and everyone else of course

:kisses3: you are doing wonderfully well DDFW. :j :j
If you've got a settlement date of tomorrow, they will be sending it off to you then.
Grrr to rude ebayers, they are a pain in the a*se
Ooh, I've tried a new recipe - it was yummy, and very easy to make, using up leftovers.
Turkey and Stuffing Pie (I used chicken and ham instead of turkey)
500g shortcrust pastry (I used ready made )
295g can condensed mushroom soup
4tbsp creme fraiche or milk (I didn't bother with this)
400-500g cooked turkey cut into chunks
100g stuffing cut into chunks
198g can sweetcorn, drained
Seasoning.
Preheat oven to GM5 or 190 degrees
Empty soup into bowl and mix all other ingredients in.
Grease a pie dish and line with pastry (I just put the filling in the bowl and popped a pastry 'lid' on the top to save on calories :A)
Pop in the filling and top with pastry. Put a couple of holes in the top and glaze with milk.
Cook for 30-40 mins or until pastry is golden."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Om nom nom - that sounds delicious and puts my humble (left over) beans on toast to some shame :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: However as this was the first thing i had to eat today at about 7pm ish it too tasted delicious and i was pleased not to have left them to go to waste too
Just offered to help my ma to meal plan so she can save money and find meal times easier - if anyone wants [STRIKE] to be bored stiff[/STRIKE] any advice on this then i am happy to share how i finally cracked it :T Although i am still a novice i am now coming up with new ideas for stretching my food tooCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000
